The Good:

Last Friday was probably the best game I have run to date. A rescue, a treasure, a mystery (revealed), combat, and a moral question to ponder for 2 weeks till next game! Everyone participated and although I had little prepared pre-game the story seemed to flow with only a couple exceptions. I had an absolute blast and my game high lasted through Tuesday.

My Birthday is today (as it is now Friday). Brandon and I are going out to dinner to celebrate and I'm sure to get some cool stuff. We are also getting together with family at my mom's on Saturday, which I'm looking forward to.

The Bad:

My dad died on Sept 15. It still seems unreal more often than real, but when it does hit me it really hurts.

I suffered an early miscarriage Sept 15, simultaneously with my father's removal from life support. There are times when I can't decide which hurt more, loosing my father, or loosing this hope of a brighter future ahead for me and a growing family.

Brandon is working a lot more, and really stressed even when he's not. The new responsibilities in his life are quite a sudden shift...for both of us. He has a lot riding on him right now, and very little is certain.

Brandon's grandma is sick and in the hospital. She has very low oxygen levels and is in cardiac care. The exact nature of her condition and prognosis is still being determined.

I have been distracted at school a lot lately (I wonder why?) and I'm afraid it's going to be reflected in lower than my normal scores on quizzes and tests (theory will be proved Mon and Tues when I get test results back from ALL of my classes). Additionally I have found it harder than normal to motivate myself to study which I'm sure isn't going to help my school performance much either.

Conclusion:

Much more bad than good right now, with potential for even worse on the horizon. I'm really down and not entirely sure how to get back up. I'm overwhelmed. I guess what I'm saying is, I need help. I'm not sure from who, or what form it will take, but I need help.
