The most dreaded day of my life finally arrived: my love deployed to Iraq. =( But I'm behind him 110% and am so, so proud of him!

The house had become a disaster area the last few weeks, due to Andrew packing and me putting everything but spending time with him on the bottom of my priority list, so furious cleaning helped me feel better tonight. One major accomplishment: setting up the file cabinet so I no longer have tons of papers scattered all over the house.

I met up with some friends for breakfast at Darby's Cafe in downtown Olympia, as a farewell get-together with Tasneem (green jacket) who is leaving next week to spend a few months with her family in South Africa while her husband is deployed.

I got my first phone call from Kuwait!! =D (Hubby is there for about two weeks before he goes to Iraq.) What is really freaky-weird is that when I was woken up by my phone ringing, I had been dreaming about hearing from him. o_O It was so good to hear his voice!
