Well, I'm home from Michigan and have a lot I could say, but I don't know when I'll get around to it, considering Andrew and I both have this coming week off of work as well and will be spending lots of time together. But...here's my photos of the day before I get too behind.

I wanted to try to sleep a little before we left for the airport (at 3am=P) but sleep usually alludes me at such times, so I watched a couple episodes of CSI:NY on OnDemand, lol. I like that show, but for some reason it always puts me to sleep if I watch it at night. Tonight was no exception--I got a couple hours of sleep!

Bad picture, due to the low lighting, but we spend our 3.5 hour layover in the Dallas/Ft. Worth airport in the USO. It was SO nice! We got free lunch, were able to get online on the free computers, and watched a couple movies in the super comfy recliner chairs in the TV room. I'm so thankful for people who show their appreciation for the military with these kinds of services. :)

Chilling with my mother & father-in-law on the back deck of the Food Factory (one of the local gathering places--Andrew's sister as well as several other relatives and old friends work there) for lunch and beers after watching the "Greatest 4th in the North" parade.

We had a bbq for a bunch of family to come over and see us while we were in town. It was a great day, and included a couple fun games of croquet!

We went to Mackinac Island! It's always nice to go back there. The weather could've been better though--it was cloudy, windy and cold. =\

I took a daytime picture of my in-laws' hot tub since I knew a nighttime picture wouldn't turn out, but this hot tub definitely helped Andrew and me have a good anniversary. ;D Under a moonlight sky and with the string lights on, it was perfectly romantic.

We went to Michigan's Adventure, and Andrew and Kate talked me into going on the bungee jump ride. o_O It was 185 ft. tall, and we got to go together. We got hoisted, in a horizontal position, up to the top of that pole in the back, and then I had to pull the rip cord and we fell straight down and then swung out. It was absolutely terrifying (I was yelling "I hate y'all!" all the way up, LOL) but also extremely awesome. I'm glad I did it.

My father-in-law made us some yummy steaks on the grill.

Three new cookbooks I'd ordered came in while we were gone...I love new cookbooks! I made dinner from a recipe I got from one of them.

We went to a wedding today for Keim, Andrew's best friend from the platoon. He and Vanessa had a simple but beautiful ceremony and reception, and they looked so happy!
