Storms and books

Tropical Storm Tammy has formed off the Florida coast, hence all the rain and wind we're getting. We've got a hurricane local statement up for our area since it's supposed to go right over us later tonight. All the heaviest rains are on the eastern side, though, so we're probably going to get more wind than rain. I loooove storms like this--the ones that aren't strong enough to cause any damage. I wish I could be at the beach right now because I bet the waves are magnificent. Oh, I just hope the electricity doesn't go out tonight. Me no likey that very much because it greatly hinders one's communication with friends. Hehe

I'm going to be chauffeuring my dad around a lot this week and next. He's not allowed to drive until next Thursday, when he gets his cast thingy off. This morning I took him and a couple of the kids up to the library. The kids got that animated version of Robin Hood with the animals playing the characters--I don't know how many times they have watched that thing. *rolls eyes* It IS funny, though; the girls and I can quote most of the dialog, lol. "How dare you strike the royal hand??" Ahem. Anyway. I got Ed Klein's book The Truth About Hilary. Why I did that I couldn't tell you. It's not like I don't have plenty of nonfiction to read already. I'm going to be going to the used bookstore this week too, and I never go to the bookstore without coming out with my arms full. I'm hopeless!!
