Rain, rain...
I don't think this rain is ever going to stop. Did y'all know Florida has a rainy season? Because it so totally does. It has been raining almost every day this month!
Today it has been pouring almost steadily for the past three hours, Jacksonville is under a flash flood warning, and there's no sign of it stopping yet. Our yard is flooding--it's ankle-deep in some spots. Yes, I happen to know it's ankle-deep, because I went outside and plunked around in the puddles like the mature 21-yr. old that I am. No wonder I can't convince everyone I'm an adult, if I persist in going out in the rain and playing in puddles.
However, I'm of the opinion that nobody should ever be too old to play in the rain and plunk through puddles. If you are too prim and proper and grown up to play in rain/puddles, then I pity you, that's all I can say.
Here are two pictures of my flooded front yard. They aren't the greatest because you can't tell how deep it is in that corner, but I had to take them from the front porch since it was raining and I didn't want to get my camera wet, and this is a horrible run-on sentence and I'm appalled at myself for using such bad grammar. I'll take more pictures tomorrow if it's still flooded.
