HURRAY!
My company has had a particular home for sale off and one for three years. You could actually say it's been for sale for 4-5 years, since before construction began, but we did use it as our model.
It's a beautiful home with some amazing unique features. Located in the Historic Humboldt Mill it's got the original 1848 exterior brick walls and beautiful arched windows. You can see the cut outs in the brick where the original beams were. The huge master bedroom has a view of the Stone Arch Bridge and the Mill Ruins.
Unfortunately, the master bedroom is the only bedroom. It's a 2700 square foot one bedroom. And it's a split two-story so upstairs faces the opposite direction as downstairs. There is a huge den, but almost no natural light gets to it. Oh yeah, and it was priced at $767,000. It's a challenging plan to say the least.
Luckily, it's not OUR challenge anymore as I SOLD IT!!!!!!!!! HURRAY!!!!! It's closing today (by mail even, so I can close in jeans) and I feel like the office hero.
Sadly, there's another unit next door that is now our last to sell in the building. Almost all the same features and drawbacks but priced even higher. Oh, and the first one had doors on both levels, this one has a door upstairs and you have to walk down to the kitchen and living room. Blargh.
