I've just learned that my aunt Huang Yu-Mei passed away Tuesday morning. She was diagnosed with breast cancer last May. She didn't want to take chemical therapy, and instead opted for some Chinese herb medicine treatment that didn't work out.
Aunt Yu-Mei was the youngest of either of my parents' siblings, yet she is the first to pass away. It wasn't very many years since her mother's (my grandmother's) death either.
Time is so relentless.
