Synchronous Serendipity

So I'm interviewing this musician as one of the participants in the gaming design project I'm currently working on. Towards the end of the interview I comment on his Death in June and Lustmord album's and we get into this conversation of dark ambient music which leads to talking about experimental music which leads to Nurse With Wound and finally Current 93.

Then the guy drops the serendipitous bomb..."Yeah, I heard there's this guy, I don't know which one, whose a member of the band, he's like...have you ever heard of Aleister Crowley?

I mumble the neutral affirmative barely able to keep my ethnographic composure,
well, yeah, so there's this guy in the band whose like the "Head Priest" of this "Sex Cult" based on Crowley...there's supposed to be all these goth girls who go to the concert who are in his "Sex Cult."

"That's pretty interesting" I said barely able to contain my laughter and delight at this little fusion of the worlds, and his outsider perspective.

The recruit for the project was handled by someone else, a we were definitely not recruiting for this kind of stuff.

Anyone who thinks working with a magickal current is just about internal psychological states should reflect a little on synchronicity and serendipity.
