Happy New Year!
I hope everyone had a safe and Happy New Years Eve!
We decided that we would have a part at the house, instead of getting out into traffic. We told everyone who came that they could spend the night. The evening went fairly well. I went out for sushi with Josh earlier in the day, then we came home and CLEANED! We bought champagne, and LOTS of Rum... because that's always a good combination! I sat down with a glass of Rum and coke, and Josh and I decided on songs that we should download for the party.
People finally started showing up around 11:00pm. We searched the house for pots and pans and things to bang them with. I got the champagne ready to pour... It was almost time! We counted down the New year, and called rocky (even though it was still 2005 for her, since she's in Hawaii). As soon as 2006 arrived we ran outside banged the hell out the pots and pans and screamed Happy New Year to the rest of the world. Then we drank champagne! And I was buzzed.
More people arrived after the New Year, and suggested that we go to another party, with more people. We went, but could not find the house. In the mean time, one of the guys following us got a flat tire. Now, the majority of said company were males. So, how Josh (one of the more feminine males I know) and I wound up changing the tire, I have no clue!
Anyway, because we couldn't find the party, we came back to our house. So, rum was consumed... a lot of rum! i made Strawberry daquiris for everyone. Following the daquiris a few people decided that taking shots was a good idea. So, I had 2 rum (made from sugar cane, mind you) and cokes, 2 glasses champagne, another rum and coke (I didn't partake in the daquiri), and 4 shots of rum. So, what else to do after that, but play POKER! I barely remember playing poker, which is apparently why I lost! :-) We were only playing with chips, not money, fortunately!
