While at a meeting, in a big corner conference room with expansive windows, we were all surprised when a hawk showed up for lunch. In the courtyard outside the windows, a sharp-shinned hawk landed on one of the tables. In its talons was a chickadee. It hopped around on the table, then began plucking its catch, leaving bits of fluff blowing across the table. The meeting paused while we admired this natural spectacle, until finally the hawk took its leave.
