Most of the medical equipment, from what I've heard, has been destroyed. Building an x-ray wouldn't be difficult, but finding the supplies would! The only place that would have anything we need is the hospital, and that's - well - overrun by monsters.
Well, there's gotta be some way to get in, right? I mean, people go into the woods and the subway and stuff all the time. "But there are monsters!" is a lame excuse.

The woods are open for navigation, and the subway is only scarcely populated by more slow-moving monsters - at least, that's what they've found so far.
The hospital's monsters are different. There are at least four different types, three of which travel in heavy packs. They're fast-moving and very, very numerous, and hospital hallways don't allow for easy escape--especially if you go searching through the upper levels.
If we go in, we need to do it as a group effort, with several small teams. It would need to be an elaborate operation with more than a dozen involved, and all of them would have to be armed and at their full fighting potential.
Realistically, there's not enough ammo to supply for that many people in such a short amount of time. We'd clean out inventory and even then, we don't know the layout of the hospital because a lot of us just leave that place the minute we get here.
And I've never heard of this shit-ass, rundown pathetic hole of a town with people from hundreds of different worlds held captive by five puny scientists with monsters treating the place like a giant mother-fucking keg party.
But I guess the universe is just full of surprises.
