Hey, guys, I found a picture in one of the - uh, classrooms. What's left of a classroom.

Dunno if it's really interesting or not, but... Hey, but it survived whatever burned the room up! Maybe it's flame-proof photography! [haha]

So is everyone else done looking at the nasty dead animal parts yet?

this is less exciting than expected, plot

Almost done, still trying to come up with a hypothesis. And I can't find the source of the gas leak, damnit.

What's the picture of?

I don't know a ton about gas leaks, but is it really safe to just hang out around one for so long?

It's just a picture of a group of people. Pretty boring.

Heh. Not particularly, but I'm leaving soon. Also if you have anything that ignites, it'd be zetta unwise to use it.

Hmph. I was hoping it'd be a bit more exciting. Experiments or something.

What about fumes and breathing them and stuff? It doesn't sound... healthy.

It's not. I haven't found much anyway, so I'm leaving. There's just one peculiar variable about this lab that's really bothering me.

Just one?

Correct. The animal appendages and the gas leak... they're both single digits of one big number.

The lab, unlike the rest of this college, ghost town, whatever the factor you want to call it, looks like it has been recently used.

...Huh. Yeah, now that you mention it... The - um, parts - were pretty... fresh, weren't they...?

But hey, if it's all recent, then doesn't that mean the guy who ripped all the animals up is still around?

Heh, precisely. If the lab was zetta unused like the rest of the building, all that'd be remaining of the appendages would be bones.

If I'm correct, and my calculations are never flawed, then he must be relatively close. No longer in this building perhaps, bu --

The howl.

...Eh?

What?

But that thing was huge - or I mean, really loud! And by recent - I mean, that was just this morning!

...

But then again...

Then what made him howl? And run off? And tear apart animals? Even though that makes sense... it's like, way to raise even more questions!

... Did you see it?

I'm not sure. The more we figure out, the more we realize how much we don't know. But it was this morning, so the radian can't be too far.

Did I see the roaring thing? No. But it was so loud, it was probably pretty big, right? You'd think.

[...] I don't even know why we're here. We've been looking around all day, but I mean, I don't even know what we're supposed to be doing. After the big deal made of picking us...

Just checking. Actually, there was a radian back home who was zetta small compared to how loud she yelled. But there's a high probability that you're correct.

... Neither do I. It's like being a Harrier reaper waiting for the 7th day. We just sit and wait until the time comes. Or maybe... maybe we do |∅|. There are two teams, after all.
