Hey, guys, I found a picture in one of the - uh, classrooms. What's left of a classroom.

Dunno if it's really interesting or not, but... Hey, but it survived whatever burned the room up! Maybe it's flame-proof photography! [haha]

So is everyone else done looking at the nasty dead animal parts yet?

this is less exciting than expected, plot

Where are you?

[Is this post um, before or after John Summer's?]

[Whoops, before - let me clear that up.]

Eh, just wandering around. Why? Wanna see it?

[Okay! I just wasn't sure if I should have Johnny freaking about people being separated. :)]

Yeah, I've had all I can take of the labs. And I like photography, so I'm curious what kind of picture you found.

[I always forget to backdate things |D]

It's just like a group photo. Or class photo or whatever. Like they make you pose for in school? Pretty dull.

But actually, it's good that you want to see. There's some writing - I think it's names - but I can't really read it very well.

Not sure I'd recognize any of them, but sure, I'll come look.

[he comes in the classroom and walks up to Pan, peering over her shoulder at the picture.]

[Turns to hand him the photo properly. Don't stare over my shoulder like I'm short or something!]

[Time for communicator tag! She holds up hers; she's put in one or two names, very slowly, and the auto-translation has switched it into Japanese for her. Not the two interesting names, though. She just wants to prove that she's not entirely useless without English reading/speaking ability.]

[he takes the photo, a little flustered, and then checks his own communicator for the translation of what she sent.]

Jackie Gallagher...Alice Henrick...[He nods as his finger points to where those two names are in the middle of the list. Then he types in his communicator:]

Maybe the picture got left behind after the classroom got wrecked?

[Nods, then looks around.]

Maybe. There's not exactly a lot of stuff left behind here otherwise, though.

[She taps the picture before going back and typing again; she's giving up on the names, it just takes waaaaay too long for her.] It looks really normal. Weird, huh? I'd expect mutants or robots or something creepier from this place.

Yeah. Maybe it has some kind of significance to the scientists.

[He looks at the picture again and then laughs. He points at the young John Summers' stretched-out hand and types:]

Bet he got rejected.

[She laughs when she reads that, and looks closely at the photo.]

Hmm. [Said aloud. Then she grins and typed:] He's not too bad looking. Maybe he got lucky.

[He grins at her answer and then looks down through the list of names, a little curious.]

Does "Jonathan Summers" or "Sofia Trevor" ring a bell? Something about the names seems familiar.

Hmm.

"Jonathan Summers..." [She says all this aloud; shouldn't be hard to understand, accent aside.]

[typed:] It sounds...

But then again, "John" isn't really a weird name. Like, you too.

Yeah, "John" is a common name. My dad wasn't very original. Maybe it's nothing, then.

My parents weren't very original either. My name's pretty common, too. Well, not as a given name exactly, but still.

Anyway, I have no idea. It's not my fault I can't remember a name in a language I don't speak, so it can't be helped. [All on you, Johnny. |D]

[...he thinks about this. He knows enough French for it to occur to him...] Are you named after bread???

We can show the names to everyone else, see what they think of them. You want to carry it, or should I keep it with all my photos?

[heh] I guess since my dad's name is 'rice,' he wanted to share the misery with his only child.

[More importantly:] I found the picture, so it's mine. [Hmph.] I can take care of it without losing it.
