Guess what!
Ok, so I've been sick as hell for the past week or so, but this weekend it got really bad. I wasn't even able to walk as of about 10 am yesterday. I got some extra rest, over medicated myself and forced (hah) myself to go to the Dir en Grey concert.
Heh heh heh.... yeah, I got spit on my Kyo and Toshiya. HA bitches!!
Truly the most amazing show I've ever been to in my life. My eyes welled up in the middle of one of the songs. It was amazing. We called them back out for an encore and they played for another 15 minutes-- which was really surprising. I only expected them to play, like, 2 songs. (I knew they would come back out, they love their fans.)
I bought a necklace for a souvenier and I also bought a presale of the cd. I can't wait. I am so excited to see where they go from here. They are really gaining a following in America, including the oldbies and all these new people that like them because they, "rock".
There were a few people that were really stupid last night, too. A couple girls wore stilletto boots--not a good idea. Then there were some guys that were hard-core moshing. I love the idea of moshing, the only problem is that I hate that because they are thoroughly enjoying themselves I have to not enjoy myself and watch where they are so as not to be injured.
I went and brought out my Diru book for on the way to the concert in case I got the chance to get it autographed, and I was reading through it and I can't believe how long I've loved them. I made the scrapbook in 2002.... that's over 5 years, for those of you who don't much like math.
Argh! I want to try to explain the experience of seeing them and being packed with people to the point of barely being able to breathe. To tell you all how fantastic it was to be with a group of people who loved their music just as much as I do, and to know that they appreciate all of it. To show you how magical it is when Kyo beats the shit out of himself, or cuts himself or rips up his mouth. The show all combined together was such an amazing experience. I want to be able to look back on this entry some day in the future and know that I will remember last night for the rest of my life.
