We stopped once in Worcester. It was I'm pretty sure 9 or 10 PM on some warm August evening returning from Boston on the Greyhound. We spent a good 20 minutes trying to pronounce the name. I was adamant that it was like "war-chester" since it looked like that. My friend didn't know so she just kind of silently disagreed. We eventually got told by an amused looking gentlemen an aisle ahead of us that it was like "Wister" at which point my friend had the good grace to realise that it was like Worcestershire sauce, which to this date I still have not tried. I got a strawberry fruitopia thing at the vending machine, which I'm pretty sure is still contributing somehow to the dismantling of my teeth.
Yes, it's pronounced Wooster...one of those interesting words...Worcestershire sauce is actually really good...mostly on meat though...it moistens and flavors burgers well apparently.
Fruitopia...sugar and water. I tried it once and I think my teeth screamed in agony.
I don't normally eat burgers, and when I do, I don't like to put any sauces on them. Though there is this one place by the subway station that I live closest to where they serve the MOST amazing burgers. It's $5.00 with tax and they do something magical with it with some kind of special stuff on top. I'm not quite sure what it is specifically, but I've never had anything quite as good as that place.
Yeah, my life revolves around food actually. And urban planning principles. And other miscellaneous fanboyish things like Coldplay and movies. I'm Tim by the way. Okay, I should sleep, I think my roommate is pounding the wall for me to turn off the music and go to bed.
Just popping in to say hellooo and I love your LJ. hehe - I don't think I know someone who loves London quite so much as you do bless ya, but mind you, I'm a big fan too! XD
Anyway, I'll be popping in to see how your faring so here's to many posts to come!
Hi, I feel totally retarded doing this, because I don't usually pop by people's journals and ask to be added, but you're the mod at the Tom Sturridge community I'm in (gorgeous boy that he is), and I realized that you and I have a hell of a lot in common. The number one thing being that we're both Filipina. (I had a slight spazz attack over finding that out. I love meeting Filipinas on LJ.) Also an insane love of London, England and Harry Potter helped a lot. So I hope you don't mind me adding you as a friend, and I hope you'll add me back. You really seem like someone I'd love to get to know. :)
I'm sorry it took me so long to reply! It has been a rather busy two days for me. I'm glad you like the Tom LJ Comm...have you been to my site as well? I would love to add you as a friend. It has been rather novel for me too to find Filipinas on LJ! I hope I don't bore you too much with my entries...it's mostly about complaining about real life, fandoms, and boys. I look forward to getting to know you!
Not a problem! Yes, it's fantastic, and I have seen your site as well. I have it bookmarked, actually. :[ Thanks for adding me, and I'm sure you won't bore me as my entries mainly consist of the same!
