READ-A-LONG

I was going to wait until December 1 to post this, but I know I'm going to get busy, so here it is early...*drumroll*



There are probably communities out there that do this, but what's the fun of a book club with strangers? :P I'll be hosting this right here on this journal, but please feel free to invite your friends!  All Read-A-Long posts will be made public and tagged accordingly.

~*~RULES~*~

• We will read one Harry Potter book per month, starting in January with Sorcerer's Stone.
• Towards the end of each month, I will post a poll with dates and times.  Based on popular vote, we will choose a time for a discussion post (or as we know it in lj-land, SPAZZ OUT TIME).  These discussion posts can be as formal or casual as you want! 
• Then at the beginning of the next month, we will start the next book, and the HP love continues for 7 whole months!
• As the books get longer, I am open to stretching out the time allowed for each book.  I know a month goes by fast, and we all have RL things to tend to.  I want this to be a fun way to revisit the books, I don't want anyone to be stressed that they didn't finish in time.  We'll just see how it goes, I'll be checking in as we go along.
• If you would like to participate, please comment to this post with "I SOLEMNLY SWEAR THAT I AM UP TO NO GOOD."  This is just so I can take a head-count and gauge participation.

So pack up your trunk, feed your owl, and ready your wand!  In one month's time we will all be going back to Hogwarts!
