Alright, last one. This one is about... fandom. And not characters or anything, the people who are in fandoms who need to get lives. Real bad.

Now I know this seems sad, but a friend of mine spends his whole life on noob central aka Gaia, and he's been begging me for forever to get on and go about the site. So I've been there for two days, and I find the ol' Naruto guilds. I pop into the discussion threads and stuff, and I find Shikalee. She makes a point of saying that Shikalee is not a yaoi pairing in her sig, so whatever, it's a retarded name. However, she is a massive fan of Shikamaru. She's also a massive bitch. I posted some stuff she said in my last entry, and this one is going to be EVERYTHING she says.

I even invaded her journal to see if she did nothing but think about characters, and lo and behold, I was in her journal. SHE RANTED ABOUT ME IN HER JOURNAL BEFORE I COULD RANT ABOUT HER, but she said I was a retard and stuff. So here it is, the fandom wank of Shikalee.

Poor Guy: I'm just pissed that mr.genuis Shikamaru has figured out why Hidan's imortal yet, cause I want to fricken know, the suspense is killing me.

Shikalee:Because it requires knowledge.

Shikamaru runs off logic, some emotion, and a little expirience. He has almost no actual knowledge, except for the traps of Ninjutsu. Never have we seen him be actually smart, pulling true information from his mind. He is merely a pawn to run information through, unfortunately. Being as, "lazy" as he is, he never takes the time to learn new things. He waits until the last minute and that is why he panics.

MAYBE Shikaku could figure it out. MAYBE. But knowing Akatsuki, that might not even be the REAL Hidan. Switching bodies and such... we never know. We don't even know if he's full man, seeing puppets and such all over the place. The only way they could really know is to kill him, take his body and things, and study those. As we all know, Shikamaru isn't much of a studier, though he is an observer. He can see every detail, but cannot necessarily put one and two together because he lacks wisdom and knowledge.

That is why I hate Shikamaru missconceptions; he's FAR from perfect.

Me: Seriously. I mean yes, he figures alot of things out, but he's not just going to randomly discover Hidan's means of NO HURTY LOLZ no jutsu.

That said, I don't think Shikaku's a big genius like Shikamaru.

Shikalee: He is. His dad is almost exactly like him; except more, "manly." *ROFLS AT THE PUN*

No, seriously. They are very much the same. His dad writes the books Tsunade uses to heal people.

Me: Where'd you get that?

Shikalee: Why, a fangirl who doesn't know enough? Shikamaru penis envy? No? Too bad. I'm telling you anyway.

I do character analysis. Primarily for a while I surrounded it around the Nara family. Shikamaru's embarassment to girls suggests he is ashamed of how his father acts around his mother, and how his mother treats his father. Showing signs of immaturity throughout his life, yet, at the same time being considered genius, it is pretty likely that he uses the emotions as a distraction; or lack thereof. He says obnoxious things to digress from the point. He inherited this weakness from his father.

Tidbits of info concerning his father's life are scattered throughout the series. There are brief conversations between him and Ino and Chouji's dads, and there are referances about him from them. He also is treated with respect by Tsunade, the 5th Hokage, which suggests that he had gained this respect. Shikaku writes the primary sources for medical ninjutsu. His books saved Lee's life, Chouji's life, and Neji's life. Likely, many other lives. No Joe-Schmoe could write such medical texts; medical texts that a woman such as Tsunade can find herself depending on. Therefore, he is some sort of intelligent one way or another. The respect people give him is not something he got from his son.

Shikamaru may have been through something to lead him to have sexual complexes. Or not. Either way, something in his life turned him away from those sensations. He, "hates" girls. But oh, he's not gay, either! It's obvious that he is hiding some rooted feelings. His father tells him that he needs to grow up. That, "without women, there would be no men." That his wife, "Is powerful yet soothing." He wants to teach Shikamaru these lessions. How does Shikaku know that Shikamaru is suffering inner conflict, rather than being just an immature boy? Besides the fact it's lasted so long, he also understands, because he probably went through it. No one else understands that. Most of them don't even notice or care about it because Shikamaru's intelligence is so distracting from anything that might be wrong with him. I said this one and I'll say it again; he's far from perfect.

It goes far deeper than that, but I'm short on time. I got to go take a shower.

Me: I was simply asking for your source. You see, these are fictional characters. Shikamaru doesn't inherit anything unless the creator says he does, he doesn't have sexual complexes or anything like that unless the creator says he does.

The Nara family created the cure for the Akimichi drug, it didn't say Shikaku did. He also didn't help save Lee or Neji, so there goes that.

I fail to see why you get so upset when people ask you questions.

Shikalee: Character book. Read it. Oh, don't know Japanese? It says he is very much like his father.

Shikaku is the only one who could have. The drug was relatively new in the Akimichi family; something Chouji's father used. And yes, his books did help. Tsunade explained she had to study a number of books; ONE of which was one of the books written by Shikaku. He is a master in medicine, whether you want to believe it or not. The evidence is everywhere. The books, his medicine profession, which yes, is clearly obvious. Any scenes in their home, you can vaguely read the books. Whether or not he wrote ALL of them, he probably read them.

Your question was stupid, and doubtful. I've been analyzing these characters for about 2 years. On my free time, of course. But it was still in great depth. My clips from the comics (my evidence) is in my book, though. I don't have a scanner and I didn't source pages. That's something I'm working on. To find what pages, chapters, and arcs they're from.

You completely ignored everything I said about Shikamaru, because you had no answer...

Me: Being similar to his father doesn't mean they're both geniuses.

I have read some of the guide books, and it doesn't say anywhere that Shikakau is as smart as Shikamaru.

Of course Tsunade studied alot of books, she's the best ninja medic, what, in the world they said? The Nara family recipe, as they called it, helped with Chouji but no one else.

Your comments on Shikamaru didn't need to be discussed. Also, your tactic of insulting the person debating against you shows very poor form, and suggests you don't have any other way to take the upper hand. Try being civil for once. [[Note: I said this because 'Poor Guy' mentioned before was debating with her at the same time, and she did nothing but call him an idiot, retard, and stalker every other sentance]]

Shikalee: What does it take to write medical scripts? I'm not saying his dad has the SAME EXACT cognitive abilities as Shikamaru, but they're both smart. His dad took almost the exact same path Shikamaru is taking now. This according to I believe Ino's father, saying their kids are like their mirror image.

Which ones? You have too look in the right ones, from Kishimoto's notes, to getcredible information. Since I'm sure you don't know any Japanese, it probably didn't occur to you that the translations are wrong a good 90% of the time. >.>; Only reason I make such an assumption is because it is obvious in the Japanese version.

No, not in the world. Just in Konoha. It wasn't a recipie! GOD! It was a premade medicine. His dad specializes in it-- DUH, THE DEER!! His name has DEER in it for Christ's sake.

Oh, boy. So you can talk down to me. Doesn't prove your point, either, darling.

Me: I actually read alot of RAWs in Japanese rather than the scanlations, and um, alot of them are actually very correct anyway. Your "obvious" information was probably nothing more than you getting the wrong idea by something that was said.

Shikaku specializes in the same shadow techniques Shikamaru does. Also, Tsunade specifically said the Nara family RECIPE.

I'm not the one being rude. [[Note: I actually try reading the RAWs in Japanese after I've read them translated, but it takes me a long time and I almost never finish. I'm trying really hard, but I... am not good with verbs STFU I DON'T HAVE A TEACHER]]

Shikalee: They aren't. I personally compare the translations... with the help of a friend who is quite fluent. As for the bold part, the same could be said for you.

Pix plx or ur lieing.

Me: I thought you said you didn't read the translations, my dear.

I could say the same for you. Why don't you show me the exact pages where you get your information from. Can you? I know I can, but since apparently every other translator is wrong besides you I guess it wouldn't matter.

Exactly how do you know you're right, anyway, if you aren't fluent? Many people who translate Naruto are fluent or actually Japanese themselves.

[/end that thread for now, she hasn't replied yet]

Me in a manner I thought people would assume was joking: SO the whole chapter was hokey and stuff, but OKAY SERIOUSLY FIRST MAJOR CHARACTER DEATH PARTY TIME FUN TIME.

Ino being a medic = lame
Asuma's heartfeltness = hokey
Ino... got uglier? Argh.

Somebody: I'm confused

Me: Asuma died.
It's a party.
Ino's a medic.
Asuma gave a hokey speech.
Ino got uglier.
Shikamaru smokes.

Shikalee: You show the true signs of idiocy I deal with every day.

Asuma always had a heart. We just never knew him very well. He is still a pretty mysterious character.

Shikamaru doesn't smoke! Read the damn chapter...
"I knew I'd hate smoking... the smoke gets in my eyes"
He wasn't smoking TO smoke... It was sentamental to him. I'm not sure how, but it was.
I'm just...

I'm sick of fangirls not getting anything. Worst of all, all you could do was oh, mention... stuff that wasn't even spoilers? They aren't even true. Shikamaru took a drag. So what? It's not like they say; you're not immediately addicted. And since he said, "I knew I'd hate smoking..." That leads me to believe, well, that he still hates it... Step off the Shika.

Me: You misunderstood what I said. "Shikamaru smokes" doesn't mean he lights up all the time, it means he well... smoked.

Shikamaru smokes in that chapter, making what I said entirely true.

Shikalee: It was stupid. It's a fucking party? Please. Don't try to say in anyway that what you were saying was mature. You threw this shit out on the table in a pretty fucked up manner. Luckily, there aren't that many Asuma fans, but if there were, you'd be getting your ass flamed to a nice shade of black.

See, there's something amazing about the English language. To say, "Shikamaru smokes" is to say he does it regularly. To get the point across that you wish me to believe was your original intent, you would have said, "Shikamaru smoked." But because you were being an ass(admit it) you made a joke out of it...

Me: That isn't true. Saying, for example: "If you watch this episode, you will see that Cameron wears a big purple hat." That doesn't mean she wears it all the time, that means she wears it during the episode.

I'm merely excited about a major character death, I wasn't being an ass.

Shikalee: That's incorrect grammar. One of the most common miss conceptions. Both of my English classes do not recommend using it because it is present tense, so why use it for past or future? Uh huh. That's right.

Me: No, it's not incorrect. They might not recommend it, but that doesn't mean it's incorrect. Also, misconception is one word.

Shikalee: Way to go. You notice a mistake in my text. How is that relevant?

Also, when something is not recommended, and disallowed by certain formats, it is FLAWED. Don't act all smart if you're just a dunce.

Me: It isn't recommended in the same way straying form the five paragraph format isn't recommended for people writing essays in high school. You get marked off if you do it another way, but that doesn't mean it's wrong.

Darling, I don't know where you're taking your english, but I hope you're not paying for it.

I felt pointing out your poor spelling was just as important as you calling me on my "poor" grammar.

Anyways, the arguement is done. You thought I said something which I did not, and I cleared the air about it. That is all, no further discussion is required. If you respond to this with something inflammatory as you most likely will, I will ignore it as having nothing to do with the topic.

[/end topic because hopefully she won't reply]

Guild II

Guy: Chiriku and Asuma were best friends in the past in that temple, that's why they both share the same sash. Kakuzu and Hidan headed to that temple on their way to find a jinchuuriki in fire country. The fact that Asuma was sent out to find Kakuzu and Hidan was a coinsidence, Hidan and Kakuzu didn't plan on meeting Asuma but since he had the same sash and his bounty was even higher than Chiriku, Kakuzu really wanted that money.

Me: They mentioned the sash was worn by people who were protectors of.. gosh, something, I can't remember what now. Obviously something to do with the Fire Nation. Anyways, that's why they have them.

Shikalee: NOW THAT'S NEWS!! Thank you for FINALLY telling me something I didn't know.

So, it is more of a clan, and less of a bloodline? Because... Asuma wore it somehow in relevance to the 3rd. I believe.

Shit... the people in this guild know less than the other guild. Probably because there are less people here.

[/end that, and now onto her journal]

Entitled "Goodbye, Sensei": I know, I know. The posts about Naruto will stop soon enough.
My contribution to the death of Asuma.

So, Asuma's life has apparently ended. In your opinion, what kind of a man was he? What kind of feelings did he have? Obviously, he loved Kurenai. What else? Did you see him as a respectful guy or just some Joe-Schmoe? What did Asuma mean to you as a fan?

So, this is my opinion. He was sort of like my stepdad in a way, except my stepdad quit smoking his pipe because he feared cancer of the mouth(). Asuma was truly very kind, but at the same time wasn't afraid to jab you in the side. He constantly teased his students to try to build them up. All of them had(and still have) insecurity problems. They were assigned as a team for that very reason. The bond between them should bes stronger than it is, but Ino has always been so stubborn. Chouj wasn't necessarily sad that he was fat; he was sad that his weight prevented him from having friends. Until he met Shikamaru. Shikamaru had several problems of his own. He was just way too different. But he generally got along with people; except Kiba. Kiba for the longest time thought Shikamaru was some freak, and would not be afraid to let him know that. What was strange about this, "rivalry" is that Kiba would act like he hated him, yet willingly hang around him. Kiba seemed to secretely admire Shikamaru's cognitive abilities. After the chuunin exams, he gained a lot more respect for him(or simply became more open about it). Ino on the other hand was very confident in herself; until she met Sakura. Sakura was nothing... a sad little shy girl with no goals set for herself. Ino told Sakura to flaunt that magnificent forehead of hers, and then, after a while, Sakura became Ino's rival. Ino kept telling herself she created a monster out of that girl...
So Asuma, a pretty outgoing, yet at the same time very understanding person, was assigned to these three. Chouji and Shikamaru were totally fine with being in the same group, but Ino was always a problem. Ino hated them; she thought they werer gross, weird, and mostly gross. Shikamaru was always distant from girls, so this was very weird for him; he did not like the change, but as usual, just, "went with it." Chouji feared she would hate him. But also from the corner of his eye he noticed how much a jerk Ino had been to just about everyone but Sasuke. Ino moped in her own self pity as she was assigned to Team 10(I would have been the happiest ninja in the world! Those two are great!). Ino had to be taught by Asuma to adjust to change. Chouji had to be taught by Asuma to stick up for himself... though Asuma's teachings made Chouji a little violent. Shikamaru had to learn how to... Heh... Well... get in touch with his mind. Asuma knew that Shikamaru was very smart, but that his brain was untrained. He would just loaf around, not realizing what power he had. Asuma taught him to use this amazing power. It wasn't until Asuma showed him that he knew how amazing his skills really were.

Asuma was a pretty relaxed man. Of course that cigarette was a pretty good hint, but also was his manner of speaking. He introduced himself to them very casually, and expecially quite rudely. But he rattled their cages and told them it's okay. At first, the team really hated their teacher. He had to grow onto them(but isn't it like that with everyone?). Asuma was also a very loving person. He was always persuing Kurenai and trusted Kakashi's advice. He also loved his father dearly. He hadn't mentioned being his son for the longest time, but he always wore that sash(a huge hint). Asuma, in my opinion, was a big bag of love and happiness. He would always do what he thought best for his students.

Entitled "What is Most Precious To Us?": This week's Naruto chapter also brought sensory memory onto the table. Most people didn't see it, so I will explain. To those who know, Asuma, coordinator of team 10, has died. Shikamaru, one of his students, did the strangest thing. He picked up the cigarette Asuma was smoking, lit it, and took a heavy drag. Choking and heaving, he utters, "I knew I'd hate smoking..." So why did he do it? Well, it is the last thing Asuma touched, and the last thing Asuma wanted. It's the last thing Asuma enjoyed besides the presence of his students. But this smell, sensation... all of it brought back memories. When they first met, the smoke burned their eyes and made them cough... Shikamaru especially remembered this sensation. Shikamaru wasn't being rebellious by smoking the cigarette. That cigarette brought back the sensory memory of the very first time he saw Asuma. The sensory itself was not very pleasant, but the memory of meeting Asuma, someone who became very close to him... the sensory reminiscence made him very emotional.

Entitled "Oh Deer! Shikalee Takes Things a Little Too Seriously." Here our debate is quoted with a big laughing smiley face at the end.

Entitled "Learn a thing or two about Chakra!" In which she describes chakra at great length. tl;dr

Entitled "Mendoku...sai?" In which she admits she's not fluent in Japanese and needs help understanding how to speak it. Weird format; won't copy it.

Entitled "Ignorant Japanese Cesspool" In which she rants about people who can't speak Japanese.

Entitled "HAAALP!" Just a short note on my behavior.

Emotional outrages; why do I get so emotional over anime characters? I joke about Shikamaru all the time at school. But a comment on my profile made me all defensive and nervous. I think my personal connections with this character lay a little too deep. Because I'm really defensive; even dependant, almost. Like the day I read the chapter wrong and was certain he would die, I freaked! It's just a cartoon, so why does it feel so real to me? Why does it torment me on a regular basis?

It's gone from fan, to weird crush, to "OMG I'm turning into a fangirl", to... this weird... personal outlook. Like it's real. Like he's someone I know. I know I see him in me, but I don't love me. I like me. Well, I do love me. But I'm not all... bothered by myself the same way. I get this weird panicy feeling when I encounter a fangirl. Like... I'm being attacked. I guess it makes a little sense. If I see him in me, and some girl is sitting next to me, hot and bothered at my drawing of him, I might be just a little disturbed. Maybe I take it all to seriously, but I get too emotional. First I would take out these emotions by pretending I hated him. For a short while. Then I'd take it out on Lee or Shino or someone else... to avoid people noticing this weird... almost self-envy. Then I lost it; finally opened up. Everyone knows he's my favorite now. I say things like, "I can't stand Shikamaru fangirls. We'd probably duke it out right then and there." Why do I get so mad at them? Who or what am I fighting for? What's the point?

I've got a real guy that kind of likes me yet I'm still struggling with this! I thought real friendship would make it all go away; that I was missing something in my life. Companionship obviously isn't what I was missing. Than what is it? I mean, my envy for this fake person is immense. Why? He's only Kishimoto's creation. There aren't people like him, no matter how much I wish there were. Though... like I keep saying, he's a lot like me... But I don't see anyone else like me!

I have an ego problem, yes. I've denied it for a long time now; that I hate fangirls and that I'm not one. I'm definately not a dumb one, but I must be a sort of dumb to heartache over a voice, drawing, and concept. A dream. I just don't get it. Do all girls just need to latch on a guy that isn't there? All my friends do it, "except" Laura (she denies it ). So maybe I'm just normal but... I don't see what is sane about it! Maybe I feel this way because I'm on my period... But... this has been bothering me longer than a week. Something in my life is missing and he's taking it's place. I don't know what it is! It almost seems as though I'm missing my own true goals in life.

I just have so many questions to ask myself... I even think of Temari as a rival... but in his world, she's all he's got. Shouldn't I be happy for them? Better yet, why do I personally care at all? It's just a story!

So in the end, Shikalee understands herself and what a blight she is to human nature by being so insane about a lousy freakin' cartoon, and yet continues to belittle and insult others who suggest something she doesn't like about one of the show's characters. I DUNNO SHIKALEE, I THINK you need to stop calling me retarded, because it's really... rude. Even ruder than me digging through your journal and posting it on mine so everyone can see what a wanker you are.

omfg, go outside, shikamaru, ew asuma, too much time, jesus what are these god damned fangirls, shut up, how old are you, what is wrong with you, wank, i'm cold, fandom, ew shikamaru, you're retarded, makeup is not gross
