Reasons why the Lion King is supposedly terrible and teaching kids to be violent:
"The fact that Scar kills his brother on purpose, the violence that occurs between simba and scar near the end. There are many aspects of violence in the movie, albeit they can be small violence"
"the hyenas ganging up on simba and nala depict things such as GANG ACTS 8| gangin on kids to eat them. when the hyenas send the bull things on a rampage and pretty much just fuck up and stomp the daddy lion. DADDY DEATH. when scar claws onto the daddy lion, that was pretty gross for me as a kid actually. yeah, the pure jealousy and hate scar had towards his brother, giving a message like well if you hate em enough, just kill them off.
at the end, obviously, the fight. the fire, the claws, the scratching."
"The hyenas all being of a minority living in the "ghetto" of the pridelands so to speak."
"there is obvious violence in the movie, whether people want to see it or not. also pointing out the part when scar hits the mom, an example of gender stratification. the fact that a male can hit a female and get away with it. males against females since the whole pride is female. if scar did overcome the pride it'd turn into a patriarchy, where men dominate female. now thats a bit violent and wrong."
