Sorry for that. School stuff and a family member death. So I've been ~lurkin', and that's about it.
But here's a random ficlet I wrote in like ten minutes or so the other night. Another girl!Rydon. Idk, if it gets me out of my funk then I'm totally okay with it.
Pillow Talk
girl!Ryan/girl!Brendon, PG-13 for references to sex.
Ryan is really horrible at pillow talk.
Ryan is really horrible at pillow talk.
At first, Bren taught that she was trying to be funny, trying to exaggerate and make things awkward in an attempt to make her laugh.
But no: Ryan is just honest to god really really bad at it. And, okay, admittedly Bren isn’t the smoothest either, but still. At least she doesn’t talk about the symbolism in one of Wilde’s books right after sex.
“It just makes sense, you know? The more his portrait is decays, the more evil his soul is,” Ryan explains, waving one of her arms a little to prove her point.
Groaning inwardly, Bren buries her face into her pillow and rolls her eyes. “Ryan, that is so obvious,” she mumbles.
Bren doesn’t know how Ryan managed to hear her, but she did anyway. She bristles. “Okay, maybe by today standards because the idea has been copied over and over again, but--”
Lifting her head up, Bren glares at Ryan. “We just had mind-blowing sex. How can you, like, randomly think of this shit already?” she questions.
Ryan purses her lips. “What do you want me to say? Oh baby, oh baby, you were so good, I love the way you--”
“Okay!” Bren cuts her off, flushing beat red. “Unnecessary.” She looks at Ryan’s profile: her pale skin, perfect nose, slender neck. She wonders why Ryan never looks half as debauched as she herself feels.
Turning her head to look at Bren, her mouth pulls into a lopsided grin. “You’re so cute when you’re embarrassed,” she states simply, studying her girlfriends rosy cheeks.
Bren doesn’t reply at first, but shuffles closer to Ryan and rests her head on her shoulder. “You’re still terrible at pillow talk,” she mumbles.
“Yeah, well,” Ryan retorts, wrapping an arm around Bren's waist, “I’ll just have to get more practice.”
