don't flip out, i'm just trying to transfer a story for newspaper from my house to the journalism classroom.

It’s a rather unavoidable fact of life for high school students. Getting to class on time has always been quite a feat to accomplish. This much is inevitable. However, due to the increasingly exorbitant numbers of students who choose to socialize in the midst of the hallways, getting to class on time is becoming even more difficult than previously.
It is undeniable that high school students have always conducted their social lives in the middle of the hallways. Chatting with your friends between classes is almost a necessity in many students’ lives. However, with the growing student population and the increasing density of students in the hallways, circumventing these groups of social butterflies becomes rather difficult.
By most, these little groups are no longer considered to be a prime picturesque example of a thriving high school social life. They have simply become obnoxious, chatty obstructions. The peeved student must exercise the most diligent self-control in order to resist the temptations of rudely bowling right through his overly-social peers.
Although some students may have enough time to have their little tea parties in between classes, they must realize that other students may have to trek all the way across the school and back in order to get to their classes. Not only do these students not have time to socialize; believe it or not, they also don’t have the time to navigate their way through the stagnant collections of their gossiping, giggling peers. It would practically take a medieval battering-ram to dispel these social clusters.
One would certainly not be misguided to think that students could find a more desirable time or place for their socialization. If students really have enough time on their hands to be chatting between classes, then perhaps they could relocate themselves to less crowded areas such as the cafeteria or even the bathrooms. ANYWHERE, as long as they are no longer causing students to be consistently late to their classes.
It isn’t likely that students will ever completely stop obstructing these hallways. High school students are social by nature, and the need to interact with other students is inevitable. However, please consider this next time you pause in the middle of the hallway to converse with your friends. You are making many students’ lives unnecessarily difficult.
