Summary: A short encounter in a practice room.
Kai was in a small warm-up room of some music show building, beginning to warm up and stretch out before the other members join him to practice once more before the show. Kai was about to turn on the music when he heard the door open. A face peeked in, and Kai recognized him as one of the other rookies, Jongup. Jongup looked surprised when he saw Kai.
"Oh! I didn't realize someone was in here. I'll wail till you're finished." Kai waved him in.
"We can both be in here," Kai offered. Jongup closed the door behind himself and approached Kai slowly, shy in front of the other dancer. Kai smiled at him, switching on some american pop song. They both faced the mirror and began to warm up, occasionally mimicking each other. This escalated to a mini dance off, both boys showing off their different dancing styles, smiling the whole time. They danced around until they were sufficiently warm, Jongup dropping to the floor to stretch his legs.
"I know some partner stretches? I haven't gotten to try them out yet." Kai offered as he kneeled next to Jongup. Jongup smiled and nodded.
"Sure! What's the first one?" Kai moved in front of him, putting their feet together, grabbing his hands and pulling him into a stretch. Jongup released a contented sigh and settled into the stretch. After a minute, Jongup sat up and pulled Kai into the stretch. Kai sat up with a grunt, getting to his knees and nudging Jongup to lie flat on his back.
"Lift your legs." Kai requested. Jongup quickly obeyed, Kai guiding his legs apart into a near split, then up to his chest. Jongup winced.
"Too far? Does it hurt?" Kai rubbed soothing circles into his inner thigh. Jongup wriggled.
"Just a little uncomfortable," Jongup said, wrinkling his nose, "I can handle it." Kai shook his head and eased his legs down. Jongup hopped to his knees, pushing Kai down. "Your turn!" Jongup chirped happily. Kai allowed himself to be pushed and lifted his legs up when Jongup grabbed them. As they were pushed apart and up, Kai realized just why Jongup had been bothered. His thighs burned.
"I think you're more flexible this way than I am. Can I try something?" Jongup asked and Kai nodded. Jongup leaned over him, sliding his hands from his thighs to behind his knees, pushing them further so they were awful close to his ears. Jongup leaned his weight onto him, scooching closer. Kai blushed, looking up at Jongup's innocent smile. He couldn't possibly know what this looked like. Kai's body was starting to react and he panicked. Kai tried to get out from under Jongup, knocking him off balance, causing him to fall on top of him.
Jongup giggled as he pried himself off. Before Kai could straighten himself out, his thigh cramped up, rendering him immobile
"A little help here?" Kai squeaked. Jongup nodded and grabbed Kai's legs, easing them to the floor. Kai sighed in relief, shaking out his legs to loosen them up. "I don't think I can stretch anymore," Kai laughed and gave a lopsided smile. Jongup returned it eagerly.
"See? Told you they're completely oblivious to their surroundings. You owe me lunch." Both boys wore matching expressions of shock, eyes darting to the door. Himchan and Sehun stood in the doorway, leaning against the frame.
"How long have you been there?" Kai asked, surprised and embarrassed. Himchan smirked, and Kai knew right away what he had seen.
"Oh not long. I showed up just as you bent Jongup in half under you. Sehun showed up when Jongup was returning the favor." Himchan teased. Jongup blinked in confusion, then got up and trotted happily over to his hyung. Kai sputtered and blushed vibrantly. Sehun laughed.
"He must have really liked it!" Sehun mocked, "but Jongup, do you even get what that looked like?" Jongup responded by cocking his head to the side and shaking it. Sehun burst into loud laughter.
Himchan patted Jongup on the back. "Did you have fun with Kai?" Himchan inquired. Jongup beamed.
"I did!" He looked to Kai. "Would it be alright if I joined you again?" Kai was floored. He nodded dumbly.
Sehun was having far too much fun with this. "Make sure to lock the doors next time! Don't want anyone walking in!" Himchan shook his head an led Jongup out of the room. Jongup's brow furrowed.
"Why should we lock the door? Isn't that a bit silly?"Jongup questioned. Himchan chuckled and ruffled his hair.
"I think you'll find out on your own."
