How Can I say "No" to That Offer? ex_comrade_ September 19 2006, 02:46:56 UTC
Motivation is not the problem, it's content. Get a piece of blank paper. If you can get a sheet the larger than 8 X 10 inches, that would be ideal. Now, In small letters, hand print the subject in a circle drawn in the middle of the page. Draw lines, like spokes on a wheel, labeling them with ONE WORD ideas that stem from the subject. At the end of those spokes, draw an image that best depicts the ONE WORD on the line coming from the circle in the center.

Now draw lines stemming from each image and put SINGLE WORDS associated with the image from whence the lines eminate. You should have little drawings surrounding the circle contain the subject. Each of these drawings should have lines coming from it with SINGLE WORD descriptors describing the little drawing.

Take your "mind map" of the subject and write an opening paragraph that ties each of the drawings to the subject. Follow this opening paragraph with paragraghs for each of the little drawings. Finally, conclude the essay with a summary paragraph that states you have proven your point.
