Whooo! The Ex rocks, I don't care what anyone else says. So I went off my diet for a day, bah. I'll just go for a run tomorrow. Now to look forward to Folkfest!
I opted for the green way and took the bus to the Ex. Really, people should know by now what the traffic is like. Still don't understand why they insist on facing that fiasco that is leaving at the end. Whatever, they're crazy folks who like their big SUVs and Vans running idle while they patiently(or not so patiently) wait their turn at the four way stop(which, in my opinion should be a traffic light now, but whatever).
I was quite thrilled to see the Zipper was back this year but sadly I never went on it(I was alone!). I hung out with Dael and Kat and Selina(sp??) and another kid for a little while until my coworker and her husband FINALLY showed up. Watching a coworker get scared to death is quite amusing. But I'm very impressed that she went on all the rides even with being scared of going upside-down.
Sometime during the day I even ran into Steve's mom, sister, and future brother-in-law. It was so nice to see them and chat for a wee bit.
We parted ways when they went to go see the Demolition derby while I, with money I made doing deliveries yesterday, decided to have fun and see a psychic. Ignoring the fact that she said that I would marry a nice girl(ummmm. . . . ) she was relatively accurate. I had my cards read and my palm read. The palm reading i'm supposed to keep secret. The cards though, that was a bit freaky. First card up, she looks at me and says "That decision you made regarding school. . . it was a good one to make. Difficult, but it was the right choice." (For those not in the know, I decided a little while ago to take a year off to get caught up on my finances and let my brain rest. Other freaky point in the cards: the tension between me and my mom regarding "mutual secrets," and my slight depression I have.
The palm reading, that was cool. This was done by a different lady, and she never said "You'll meet a nice girl and marry." She seemed to studder, frowned, and switched the pronoun to mate/partner. But, no details. Not allowed.
Even if they are just bogus, it was good fun.
Mmmm, spudnuts and dukabour bread.
