Um... to cut straight to the chase - from your profile and public entries I find you really interesting, and was hoping you might consider friending me. If I asked really nicely.
Obviously, I understand the many reasons someone would have for not adding a total stranger to their friends list, so I will be totally unoffended if you say no and promise not to cry.
In an attempt to upgrade my status from "total stranger" to "almost total stranger"...

o reason behind your LJ username: Picked it for an email address almost 8 years ago. Lacking the creativity and imagination at the time to think of anything better, it went on the become my online name. Gradually I began to use it in so many places that it stuck. I am TotoroJo now. :/
o five things you want to do/accomplish before you die: (At the risk of sounded horribly pretentious...) Find the truth of this place. Contribute in a positive way to the world around me. Understand myself down to the deepest levels. Experience as many forms of reality as possible. Visit as many of the world's ruins as I can on the time and money I am able to acquire.
o what makes you happy: Warm evenings, high places, city lights.
o what have you been listening to lately: Tori Amos, Little Earthquakes.
