Drabble [Really stupid]

HAHAHAHAAH. Why did write this?

When she wakes up in the morning,
she can tell how the day is going to be.
it's the 20'th day of Januray, and
it's raining. The pavement shines where the fluorescent light of nearby
streetlamps hit it, and the sky is gray and dull. She thinks the morning has
never been so beautiful.
During the time it takes her to get shower, get
dressed and eat breakfast, the rain outside has turned from a light winter
sprinkle to a harsh down pour. She pushes her hair behind her ear, dons her
favorite white jacket with the furry hood, and slips on her favorite pair of
brown boots with the poofy tassles and furry inlay. She thinks it's a good day.
her eyeliner is even, and not to bold; her hair isn't frizzy, and her layers
look cute and piecey, as is the fashion nowadays; her skin isn't blotchy- it's a
perfect day.
She walks down the driveway, heading towards her parked car
accross the street. Weather reports give notice to an hour delay; flooding is
occuring in nearby areas. Trying to avoid puddles, she stumbles halfway through
the street and drops her cellphone right when her boyfriend calls. Gingerly, she
crouches down in the middle of the dark street, and picks it up. She missed the
call, and sighs, but looks up and revels in how pretty the day is. She
lives for this kind of day, and for one moment she could honestly say
that she was happy with where her life was then. It was going
beautifully.
She didn't see the headlights. The rain picked up, and all
sounds of tires screeching andcar horns were dimmed. She turned on her heels,
still crouched, at the very last moment. Her smile was replaced with
shock.
Sometimes, we don't take the time to stop and notice little things.
How good the rain smells, how snow covers everything and makes it look pure. We
don't notice the smiles and sideways glances from others, nor the 'I love you's'
and 'see you tommorrow's' that we pass out and receive. Beauty only lasts for so
long. It all ends sometimes, and why wait to stop and appreciate things where
they're all gone?
And when the day comes that you decide you'll stop and
admire the beauty around you; please.
Take heart not to do it in the
middle of a street. There's beauty around us, for sure, but not so much when
you're about to die.
