that last week

It's Monday, June 5. I will leave for home on Wednesday, June 14. On Friday, June 9, end-of-year finals things end and happy, birthday-related things begin. (Okay, so the dorm outing on Friday night has nothing to do with my birthday, but I consider it part of a general festive atmosphere.)

Between now and that time, however, I have to write 14 pages for three different assignments and sit for an oral final [ill-advised joke here]. Oh damn, I also have -- how many? -- five? pages due for my tutoring training, which I've been putting off for two weeks? Bah.

In the midst of all of this, the final burst of necessary energy is suspiciously absent. With all of this to do, all I want to do is knit and learn Spanish. Mostly knit. (Have you guys seen how cabling is done? It really fills a person with awe for the human mind. And a giddy itching to try it. At least if that person is me.)

As much as I really dislike the idea of being 1/4 done with college (oh god the fear is gripping me in its ice-cold vise), this last stretch just has to be got through.

Those of you who finished your terms ages ago, bah. And congratulations. My BHS friends -- I'm sure you and I are on the same wavelength. When is the time of your ultimate deliverance?

P.S. Nick, that comment is pretty rich from someone who also hasn't updated in a month. Ha.
