Ignorance Angers Me
White american male professors should not talk about racism as if it is this abstract concept which needs to be defined without connection to injustice or historical/social contingencies. It makes me tempted to call you racist... do you live in the US? have you ever taken a history class? Have you seen the crap people say about the president? then you should know how insanely ridiculous this idea is and how coming from someone in your position it sounds even worse.... people don't wake up and say "today I am going to hate on purple people because I feel like it"- it is just stupid to think it is that simple.
