(no subject)
So, I went to Coney Island on Sunday:). It was a lot of fun, but I got extremely burnt on the backs of my legs..and my back. I didn't even think about putting sunscreen on my legs...I learned my lesson. I also rode the largest ferris wheel in the world!!!!! It was $6 though..all the rides were crazy expensive there. I wonder how they maintain the ferris wheel in the winter.
Hopefully I'll be back for the mermaid parade this month.
I think somewhat secretly, I want to be a nerd. I really like science, but I suck at it, and I am absolutely atrocious at math. I feel like I am not learning anything right now, and I'd like to be...all the books I've read recently are blah, uneducational. On that note, anyone recommend any good books>? I am in dire need. A couple for now, and a good one for Costa Rica. I am thinking of seeing if the library has either of Barack's books.
I am excited he finally got the dem nomination, but after a disheartening conversation with a friend about the flawed American political system, I was told he'll never get elected over McCain...which is not just ugly to think about, but scary....I never really considered it because it is too terrible and frightening a thought. Could McCain actually win>? I've been pretty confident Obama will make it.
I swear I had other things to write, but now I cannot remember....eh well, off to work.
