Typical Sappy Thanksgiving Entry

Just a Few of the Things I am Thankful for:

-Friends. All of you. I can't say enough on this subject, so I sum up my thankfulness with the following: *hugs for all my friends*

-A remarkably coherent family structure.

-Parents who understand.

-An awesome older brother who also understands and with whom I almost never argue.

-A twin sister, who fits into the category of friends (which is something to be thankful for in itself), but who gets a special spot since I met her in the womb. Boo-yah.

-[edit] CTY!!!!!!!! *can't believe she forgot to put it in before* YAAAAAAAAY CTY!!!!!!

-My dancing and everyone involved in it (Jenny and Molly and all the girls)

-The ability to take an interest in the past, look forward to the future, and live in the now.

-All the little things like having a warm fuzzy sweatshirt and the knowledge that there is an untouched apple-and-raspberry crumble downstairs.

-All the incomprehensibly big things like not having cancer and always having food and clothes and school. *knocks wood a lot*

-Everything else I forgot or didn't have room to list.

Now for the obligatory Thanksgiving narrative:
We went to see the monuments in DC! It was really cool. We saw the Einstein monument and the Lincoln memorial and the Vietnam memorial and the Jefferson memorial. And we read Lincoln's second inaugural. But the Vietnam memorial was very sad...

We had far too much food for only three people and ended up with a fridge stuffed with leftovers, which is pleasing. And we ate unimaginable amounts of potaaaaatoes. And pumpkin cheesecake. And as I mentioned above, we still have an untouched apple-and-raspberry crumble waiting for tomorrow!

We ended up dancing and singing along to 'Driving Home for Christmas' in the kitchen, which leads me to believe that Dad may have been the slightest bit tipsy. =)Which was fun.

We watched several television Thanksgiving specials (not as lame as it sounds), as well, of course, as Miracle on 34th Street, which made me all idealistic and Christmassy.

Which leaves me...idealistic and Christmassy. w00t! The season has begun! And while I know there are those of you who would say this is BLASPHEMY and who do not begin until December, I am 5 years old and very impatient. And Christmastime customarily begins with Thanksgiving in my family, so I say party like it's 0 AD! *dances*

I'm a little hyper. I think the tryptophan wore off.

*dances more* *also sings* *obnoxiously* *mostly Christmas carols* *but not deck the halls or jingle bells or rudolph the red-nosed reindeer, for which you should be thankful*

Happy Day After The Day of Appreciation!

happy, thankful, holidays, reflection
