back in saginaw

I got to spend three days up at the lake. the first day was lovely, warm and sunny. the water was beautiful. i got to go out on the jetskis with my uncle and cousin. i fell off while trying to turn at one point. :( oh well, i got back up eventually. the second day (yesterday) wasn't as good. someone must have dropped an iceburg in the lake, you couldn't go past your waist without risking hypothermia. today i didn't go in the water at all, or even on the beach. i didn't have the time between repacking and cleaning. i went into tawas with my mom, sister and grandma, looking for clothes for grandma's trip to haiwai (how she'll make it i'll never know) then we went back to the lakehouse, packed, cleaned, drove back here, chilled, made dinner, ate dinner, chilled again. and now my aunt and uncle are here. neither of them pay attention to what i have to say. not many of my relatives do. my cousins are all older then i am by at least two years. except william, who is graduating the same day i am, so none of the donenworths will be at my graduation. not that i really mind, i'm not that close to this part of my family. mabey it's the distance, mabey it's the age gap. i don't know, but i'm not going to put forth the effort if they won't. we've come up almost every summer, and they hardly see us. we work around them. i'm not asking anyone to drop their lives, but to make some room. oh well, we're not coming up next year. we won't have the time between  my graduation and alison's dance recital and getting ready for college. mabey we can take a vacation by ourselves for ourselves for a change.
we're leaving tommorrow, driving to elyria (in ohio) and spending the night. then on friday i go on a visit to oberlin college, my last campus pilgramage i think. then we come home. mabey i can watch project runway there, as all of mitchigan seems to not have bravo.
