Searching for one lost item

[Back dated to the day after New Years]Gilbertine was on her knees hurriedly digging about a snow bank outside by the garden. She had a red scarf tied up around her neck and face to her nose. Perhaps even more unusual, she was wearing her coat but not her hat. She was cussing a steady stream under her breath as she dug up handfuls of snow. It was ( Read more... )

Since is was snowy, Sharon couldn't help herself but to go to the garden to make some snowmen and snowangels for her own entertainment. Of course she was to remember that she is a lady, but her childishness wasn't going to sit back and not nudge her to play in the snow.

She ran into the garden only to notice someone. Apparently she was looking for something, and Sharon just had to ask what was wrong.

"...Excuse me...um...Mister...Are you looking for something?" Sadly she couldn't tell if Gilbertine was a lady or not, especially with her face covered up like that.

Gil's back stiffened at a childish voice, after running her child self she was rather fearing she finally see a bitty version of herself. She relaxed slightly when she turned and realized it was Miss Sharon...a younger version but surely the youngest lady of the Rainsworth House.

Though her older self had been one of the few people who had been able to tell Gil was a woman just by looking at her. Maybe the scarf wasn't helping things, but it had to stay on.

"Yes, but I don't think you want to ruin your nice dress by digging into the snow," she answered. Gilbertine rarely corrected people about her gender.

Gilbertine's voice was higher than a mans, and Sharon finally realized she had made such a offending mistake. She felt herself being a bit flustered but ignored it has she made an attempt to clear her throat.

"Forgive Miss...but I was planning to play in the snow anyway, so my dress was going to be dirtied either way. So I am willing to help, if you are fine with that..." She tried her best to be polite. Lady-like, she tells herself even though it was a bit embarrassing to admit that she was playing to play in the snow.

Gilbertine touched her fingers to her forehead, as long as she kept her mouth shut about the future, she should be all right. So she nodded and moved a little for Sharon to kneel next to her.

It was almost funny how much she sounded like her older self already in her speech patterns.

"All right, I am looking for my hat, you-" she cut herself off, realizing this Sharon hadn't met her Gilbertine or Gilbert yet. So she hadn't seen the hat yet. "You will know it by the fact it's black and has a brim."

She had never seen snow before and her curiosity had lead her outside, no matter how cold she was. She found a coat nearby while she was on her way out without thinking of who it may belong to.

"...What is this white stuff....?"

That was when she spotted Gilbertine, but of course she never meet the female Gil before and thought it was just Gilbert acting strangely in the snow.

"Hey! Seaweed...what are you doing?"

Gilbertine cringed at that voice. Of course of all the times for Alice to show up, and it wasn't the slightly older one who liked her either. It was one just like hers; she could already tell.

"None of your business," she snapped in a warning tone. She was not looking to be mocked with all the pain she was in.

Hearing Gilbertine's voice definitely confused her for a bit; That sure didn't sound like the Gilbert she knew, but she wasn't planning to make obvious that she just found out. Rather she was still wondering why Gilbertine was frantically searching about in the cold.

"...Hey Seaweed...did you lose your hat or something?"

Despite her insensitivity and brashness it wasn't like she couldn't figure out something when she wanted to. That could be the only explanation to why Gilbertine was here...plus she wasn't wearing her hat either.

Gil grunted, well she supposed it be obvious to someone who knew her but she still wanted Alice to go away. She knew she start asking about the damned scarf next.

"Yes, I'm looking for it," she said curtly, clearly indicating she had no interest in asking for help.
