From dA: So I'm not in Econ, but my roommate, Lisa, is. She was reading from her book and suddenly said, out loud, "Economists assume people are rational." And that, my friends, is why I failed econ. Because I don't function under the illusion that people are rational. They aren't. They are quite irrational.
I had my first "official" art class today, and it sucked pretty bad. Three hours of "searching lines" blows. We also have to keep a sketch diary, which I was really looking forward to until I asked Andrea, the grad student teaching us, what she was looking for in it. Her response was "Oh, just not doggies, kitties or anime. That's not art." I finally understand why so many artists hate the "traditional" art community. Especially because, later on, Andrea came over and said, "You have a wonderful hand for searching lines and sketches. What kinds of things do you draw?" I didn't say "anime" because I'm too much of a chicken; I just said people. But seriously.
Anyway, I'm irritated with people. I just ran into someone who said income tax was pointless and should be abolished. Ironic, since every governmental system in the world implements an income tax. God, I hate stupid little 15 year olds.
