Henry is outside after dark, looking for Lydia, as it happens, because he worries for her and wants to ask if she knows that Helen is back. He's still divided on what he's going to do about his fledgling.

She's around, and possibly also looking for Henry, since she does have news for him about his fledgling. She'll appear behind him, spontaneously.

"Henry."

He doesn't jump, controlled enough for that, but turns, slowly, and almost smiles, closed mouthed. "Good evening."

She smiles back, in the same, quiet way. "Good evening, Henry."

[fitzroyal]

"I was seeking you." As you know, he doesn't say, but it's a way to start.

"And I you," softly, and she comes to stand next to him, as is their habit, now.

He bows his head to her. "How have you been?"

[pandora_antioch]

"I have been well enough," she replies quietly. "If busy. Your youngling has returned."

[fitzroyal]

"So I heard," solemn again, but not with any other immediate outward reaction.

[pandora_antioch]

"I have taken her to hunt." Quietly. "Off these grounds."

He breathes out a sigh of relief. "Thank you."

[pandora_antioch]

“It cannot be any other way”, she says softly. “I would not act unfairly, and there was goodness in her, struggling. I am still concerned, but she is better perhaps than you expected.”

[fitzroyal]

"I should take responsibility for her."

[pandora_antioch]

"And what does that entail?" Quietly, not judging.

[fitzroyal]

"For her education."

[pandora_antioch]

"I have done what I could, but if you fear it is not adequate..."
