Hellooooo! *echoes*
Well, hello out there, empty LJ Land! It's been so long since I have posted (or anyone else for that matter), so I guess it's high time for a bit of an update. In a nutshell, here's what's been going on:
Dad had extreme surgery, and thankfully came through okay. It was life-changing, but his prognosis looks good.
I've successfully maintained my goal weight for many months now, safely and healthfully. I am constantly amazed at how much I can indulge in without affecting the scale. Perhaps I've finally learned the concept of moderation and balance...
After 2-1/2 years at the job, I've just been awarded a promotion. It's been impressed upon me that this is a pretty big deal after so short a time, so I'm feeling pretty good about it. I will now be the Pricing Specialist, and Executive Assistant to our National Sales Manager, and will likely be involved in lots of other stuff. My job description will probably morph over time. I'm excited about this, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little nervous as well. I'm just hoping I enjoy this new position as much as I do my current one.
esoterikgardin and I treated Mom to a day at the spa this past Saturday. We had facials and pedicures, and I decided that I seriously need to do this quarterly.
I've come to the conclusion that I'm developing an unhealthy addiction to jewelry; g0ref1end would be proud. I now own a ridiculous amount of necklaces and bangles, most of which I only wear to work. Speaking of which - I'm beginning to really enjoy dressing up for the office. Oh god, I think I've Grown Up...
That's about it! All in all, things are going pretty well. And I can't ask for more than that. Except maybe an audience...? Stupid Facebook. *sigh*
