So
anarkid and I have been making the most of this Halloween season. We kicked it off at the beginning of the month with a fun-filled day at the shore: Asbury Park's Zombie Walk; a lantern-lit ghost tour of Keyport; and a trip through Keyport's Macabre Mansion. While the haunted house was lackluster, the ghost tour was awesome. They do one in Red Bank as well, which we didn't get around to doing - but next year we definitely plan to hit that up. Zombie Walk was a blast, and we thoroughly intend to drag ourselves through the next one in full zombie dress!
The following weekend we got together with
rising_phoenixx and
ericdelord to go pumpkin (and gourd!) picking. This was, believe it or not, the first time I'd ever been pumpkin picking. Afterwards we had dinner at the Americana Diner in East Windsor. This place takes diners to a whole new level.. We were impressed. We then finished up the evening with a walk through the Field of Terror! I nearly had a panic attack when I encountered the Dark Vagina, that thing is not for those prone to bouts of claustrophobia. The coolest part of that night was when they started shooting off fireworks, lighting our way through the end of the haunted corn maze. It was most magical. :o)
