Summary: For as long as Richard can remember he's been spending summers at his Grandfather's cabin by the lake. What no one else in his family knows is Richard has a secret connection with the merboy that lives in the water. After an altercation that destroys their friendship, Richard finds himself drawn to a new co-worker that reminds him of the friend he left behind so long ago.

It's young Richard just before encountering Misha for the first time. I felt that was an occasion deserving illustration. ;)
Mish with the rope around his neck at his and Richard's first proper meeting. Mostly, this was just a cute idea that I couldn't resist sketching. ^^
This was the first thing I sketched for this fic. Richard and Misha at the dock just after Richard's grandfather's death. Mostly, I wanted to draw mer!Misha and this was a good scene for that.
