Hey guys

Just a quick update for you guys. :)

In case you missed them, my Five Acts fills are linked here and my Fic or Treat fills are in the comments here. I may or may not post them all individually to my journal, but for now, that's where they are. Various pairings, ratings and genres.

I'm taking part in NaNoWriMo this year and writing my Gabriel_Big_Bang fic for it, which may result in a really long fic. ^^; However, should I finish my GBB fic before the end of November, I will be working on what may be a SPNJ2BB fic, a few follow-ups to older fics and possibly even some original stuff. We'll see how that goes. I'm starting out with 4,083 words on the GBB and considering how very little plot has happened in those words, I'm looking at a long fic. Which some of you will really be happy with, I know. ;)

Real life is being interesting. School's okay, I've got fun and fairly easy classes this quarter, which is good. I needed some time where school wasn't a chore. I should graduate at the end of spring quarter with my Associate's Degree and I'm looking at several four year colleges to apply to for the following fall, with the goal of majoring in zoology. My winter and spring quarters here at the community college are going to be full of bio, chem and math in preparation for that. Hoping that I'll able to get scholarships and grants enough to make my first choice college affordable if I'm accepted (damn you, out-of-state tuition for UCDavis) and if not, figuring out where I'd like to go instead. There really aren't very many colleges in the western half of the US that offer zoology degrees and UCDavis is pretty much perfect except for how hard it is to get in and how expensive it is. Other than that, I'm looking at Humboldt, Colorado State and possibly Washington State, so far. There's a few others I'm going to consider, but those are the ones I've looked at.

My laptop is still dead and it's highly unlikely that I will be fixing it anytime soon (because motherboards cost several hundred dollars to replace, go figure), so I'm looking into just converting the hard drive into a portable hard drive so that I'll at least have my files available to me again. I've got internet at home and obviously things have been written since my laptop died in June, but it'll be nice to have the older stuff accessible. Depending on a few things, I might end up just getting a new laptop. We'll see.

In other news, I finished season five of Stargate: Atlantis, so I have officially seen every episode of it and that makes four shows I've seen all the episodes for. (The others being Supernatural, the new Hawaii Five-O and the newer Doctor Who series.) I'm working on rewatching (and sometimes just plain watching, as I apparently missed various episodes) NCIS and Stargate: SG-1, which ought to keep me busy for a while. After those, I'll see about finishing Dead Like Me and Due South and looking into other shows to watch.

So, that's me right now. How are you, flist?
