Multishipping suggestions?

Feb 14, 2011 20:32

In case you guys haven't noticed (I'd be incredibly surprised if you haven't) I'm a multishipper. Or at least, I write like one (I read about a dozen 'ships regularly, compared to the nearly fifty different ones I've written).

However, I'm pretty sure that the majority of my flist/Twitter feed isn't.

LJ I'm not too worried about. My fics all go under a cut and the pairing(s) are clearly labeled and I have no problem with you not reading something because of that. (Although, my twitfic posts could probably be better formatted to aid you in that, too, but I have yet to find a way to do it properly. Suggestions on this would be fantastic.)

But I hate knowing that someone on my Twitter feed absolutely can't stand a pairing that I write when I ask for twitfic prompts and that particular pairing comes up. I've been assured that a few tweets are easy enough to skip over and I've recently tried to label the first tweet with the pairing, but I still feel incredibly guilty about it.

I do use twitlonger when I'm able to, but much of my twitficcing is done from my phone, which does not have internet capabilities and I hate to put off posting something due to this.

So, I don't suppose any of you guys have suggestions on how to handle this?

To my knowledge, I've not had anyone be majorly upset with me about this. There have been a couple of instances of someone stating their distaste for a pairing I was writing, but things were worked out regarding those, as far as I know. This is purely for my personal peace of mind, trying to find ways that I can make sure I'm not stepping on any toes and alienating people unnecessarily.
