Wishlist Meme
WISHLIST MEME: (stolen from all over the place)
Step One:
- Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Dean icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
- If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ so that the holiday joy will spread.
Step Two:
- Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use -- or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free -- do it.
- You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf -- to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not -- it's your call.
- There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just... wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.
1. Foam earbud covers. I have yet to find them locally and my current ones are wearing out.
2. Figurines. Specifically, dragons and owls. Big or small, doesn’t matter. I just like ‘em. ^^
3. A long, thick scarf. My two are rather skinny and short and this winter is shaping up to be a doozy and with me taking public transportation to and from school, a nice scarf would be greatly appreciated.
4. Volumes 1 and 4-22 of Angel Sanctuary and the art books for the series. My local Barnes & Noble no longer carries them. :(
5. Honey sticks. Specifically, original clover, orange and cherry. Again, haven’t found them locally (yet) and I love them.
6. A baritone saxophone. I played for five years and it’s probably my favorite of the four instruments I can play, but I haven’t been able to since graduation and I’d love to be able to play it again.
7. Cards. I love getting mail, especially when I’m not expecting it (this goes for emails, texts, tweets, PMs, etc., too). Doesn’t have to be an essay, it can just be ‘thought of you’ or ‘hope you have a nice day’. Let me know if you want my address (or email, cell number, twitter username, etc.) and I’ll PM it to you.
8. Pairing icons. Dean/Castiel, Sam/Gabriel, Dean/Gabriel, whatever. I just want some shippy icons. :3
9. Danish Butter Cookies (Currier & Ives tin). I love them so much and I don’t get them nearly as much as I’d like. ^^
10. And, of course, fic/art is always welcome. :) I’d list pairings and whatnot, but we’d be here for a while. ^^; Either check out my journal or ask me for preferences. <3
