[Chapter 1] First Encounter
Title: More Than Meets The Eyes

Summary : One is the quiet kid in class while the other is the popular guy. How will their love life proceed as they start on the journey towards graduation.
"That's awesome Keito! It's a school trip!" Yuto placed his arms around keito's slouching shoulder as soon as Keito announced that he would be going to Osaka for a week.
"Yeah Keito! We don't even have a chance nehh!" Chinen exclaimed with a pout. Yamada nodded his head in agreement.
The four of them walked along the road, talking about their day. How Yuto got another love letter from the pretty girl next door, how Chinen topped the class again for the literature test and how Yamada managed to come in second for the literature test. Keito watched from the corner with envy lingering from his eyes. How he wished he was the smartest boy in class, or at least had to motivation to push himself to score better. Somehow, he was starting to get sick of being just an average student. He wanted to have someone by his side. No, not like a bestfriend, but a partner, who will be there for him, someone who will care for him, or at least give him a hug whenever he feels like he wants it.
"What's up in your head Keito?" Yamada asked, seeing that Keito was spacing out once more.
"Yeah Keito! You're spacing out again!" Yuto added, smacking him lightly on his back.
"Ah, betsuni, was just thinking…" Keito forced a smile in reply. He avoided their glance and continued walking forward. Which was when, it happened again. He didn't see it coming. Of course he didn't. And all the other three heard was the sound of something hitting the ground before a groan.
"Keito!!! DAIJOBU!?" Chinen exclaimed before scrambling to Keito's side to help him up. The rest scrambled over as well, helping Keito to his feet. "Daijobu?" Yuto asked in concern once more.
He shook his head before wiping the dust off his pants. "It's nothing really…" Keito replied softly with a nod before walking ahead. He was the boy, who will trip over nothing. He was the boy who was clumsy the way he was, always troubling his friend, making them worried.
Yamada and Yuto looked over at the place where Keito had fell. No pebbles, no rocks. So how did he trip? They tilted their head, puzzled before Chinen called them back into reality.
"Let's go!" Chinen tugged at their sleeves, pointing in Keito's direction. Yuto and Yamada gave a final glance at the spot that Keito had fell before walking off with Chinen.
"Ahh!!!" Chinen's scream interrupted the journey they were having back home. "Yabaii!!!" Chinen stared at his phone before glancing at Yuto with an apologetic look.
"Nani?" They stared on in surprise.
"I…I…left someone behind…gomen, i got to go back to school!" Chinen said in a rush before dashing off in the direction of his school.
How he wished he had many friends. So many that he could actually forget their existence for a moment. How he wished that even though he was with a group of friend, another friend will be texting him.
Keito took out his phone from his pocket, flipping it open to check for any message. His heart skipped a beat when he saw [1 new message]. He eagerly opened the message, only to find that it was from his mum, asking if he'll be back early for dinner. What else could he expect? The only people he gets messages from were Yuto and his mum. On occasions he will receive a few from Yamada and Chinen. But it was rare. He replied his mum and slipped his phone back into his pocket.
"So Keito! Wanna come over tonight with your guitar?" Yuto tried to pick up a topic after noticing the ever so un-rare silence that filled the air.
"Umm…im not sure. My mum cooked dinner tonight…" he placed his hands in his pocket before answering Yuto, his right hand brushing pass his phone in his pocket. Wait, was that a vibration? He placed his hand over his phone again. Yes, his phone was vibrating. A message he was sure. He took out his phone and flipped it open, attracting Yuto's and Yamada's attention.
"Ahhh..Keito's got a message nehh." Yamada said, trying to start another topic. "It's probably just my mum…" Keito replied while pressing the button to open the message.
"Okamoto-kun, about the request i've asked earlier, have you thought about it?
PS: I got your number from our class rep. ^^ reply soon!"

"Ahhh! Keito! Who's Yukiko!?" Yuto exclaimed. Keito scrunched his brows, partly annoyed that Yuto's height allowed him to just peer over and read what was on Keito's phone.
"Betsuni, just a classmate…" Keito closed his phone and placed it back in his pocket.
"You're not replying her??? That's so mean Keitoooo.." Yuto smacked his arms while Yamada nodded his head in agreement.
Not that he didn't want to reply. But what should he reply!? He hardly spoke to Yukiko before. And worse, he was approached by Yukiko and a group of girls earlier in the afternoon. No, he definitely didn't want to join a group of girls and be the only guy to be in the group right? He will just ignore Yukiko's message, yes, he'll do just that.
That night when Keito reached home, he received yet another message from Yukiko.
"Okamoto-kun! I got the correct number right? Have you decided??? Sensei says if we don't form a group by tomorrow she'll group us on her own!"
He flopped onto his bed and threw his phone aside. Within seconds, he scrambled back for his phone. He flipped it open and read the message once more before doing just one thing. He saved her number.
Closing his phone, he placed it aside and stared up at the ceiling, thinking through about whether he should group with Yukiko and gang. Finally making up his mind, he took his phone and replied Yukiko.
"How many do we need in a group?"
It wasn't even a minute when Yukiko replied. Keito sighed and flipped open his phone.
"Sensei says minimum 5, but we can have more(: I'm glad you replied Okamoto-Kun"
Keito thought for awhile. five in a group? Does that mean he'll be grouped with 4 other girls? He still didn't like the idea of that though. While in the middle of debating if he should agree to Yukiko, his mum called him down for dinner. He placed his phone back onto the table and went down, coming back up after dinner only to find two missed calls and five messages.
He sighed and read through the messages. All were from Yukiko. She really is a persistent girl isn't she? He was getting rather annoyed already and finally, Keito set his mind on waiting for sensei to group them. Eventually, he waited till about twelve midnight before replying Yukiko, something that he had planned before on purpose so that Yukiko will not 'harass' him again.
A/N : Chapter 1 is up!! Anyone experienced something like that people? Like you really really didn't want to reply an SMS but that person just keeps spamming you. HAHA. THIS is a pretty fast update nehh. But yeah, i was tired from study. and doing [tutorials on how to use ITUNES was really...*speechless*]
