What a crazy week and weekend! My boss was out of town all last week so I got tons of stuff done (work and non-work related) Monday I ordered a new cherry tree for the front lawn. We went through 2 little cheap trees and they have both died, so I figure I am going to buy a big tree and the chance of survival will increase. I cannot wait to get it. It will be so pretty! Wednesday Chris and I had a really early dinner at 360 wine bar and bistro. It was really good and then we went to Cheekwood to see Chuhuly at night. It was so beautiful; well worth the money to see it all lite up at night. Thursday night we had a predators game, their first preseason game. Nothing specially happened on the ice because it was a preseason game. They play a whole bunch of rookies and a few veterans. It felt so good to bundle up and go see a game. I had Friday off, so I took a spa day. I had a groupon for a facial and body wrap. It was so enjoyable! I love being a girly girl sometimes. After the Spa I took Kerry out for her belated birthday lunch. We had so much fun catching up and planning our next trip in November to Atlanta. After lunch I went to a few furniture stores and purchased new end tables for the bonus room. Chris and I had a nice Friday evening doing some shopping and watching TV. Saturday morning was a doggy birthday party at SEE SPOT EAT. The place where we took Sara to get her training was turning 2. Sharla and I drove there to celebrate with doggies pup-cakes and pupicles. Barkley and Sara had a blast! Every dog was allowed 1 of each of the treats, but my dog got 5 because she looked pathetic and cute so the other owners just fed her. She knows how to wrap people around her paw. After that I did some cleaning for company on Sunday morning. I am so glad I do a little each week, so I don’t have to stress out about how the house looks. We went out to SATCO for dinner and headed to the hockey game. I am so glad hockey is back. I like football and the Titan’s BUT I love HOCKEY and the PREDATORS! I think they will do alright this year. I cannot wait for the real season to start. Sunday we had 3 neighbor couples over for a grill out and Titan’s game. I got up early and got everything ready so I could enjoy the game. Stu, of course, stole the show with his playfulness and his seat stealing skills. With 8 people in our living room watching the game, it did not leave Stu room to nap on the comfy furniture. As soon as one of my guests got up, he would jump in their seat and make himself comfortable. I love that cat and so does everyone else. I took a nap after everyone left to refresh myself for Sunday night! We went out with Paul and Lindsay to a Predators Event at Zanies. It was hilarious and I really enjoy their company. Chris works with Paul at Qualifacts. We need to look at the predators schedule and see when we can invite them over for dinner and a game. I feel like I have been on the go for days and days and the season is just starting! Yeah! On a side note: I really love Sharla and Terry because every night we go out, they take care of Sara. I could not have asked for more loving and caring neighbors. They allow Chris and I to go and do and not feel guilty about leaving the Sara at home all the time. I always feel like I am taking advantage for them, but when we do leave her at home, they go get Sara and yell at us for leaving her alone. They really do love her as their own. And Barkley really loves Sara. They are best friends and not easily separated.
This week is pretty slow considering last week. Tonight we are going to Olive Garden for dinner b/c they have their endless pasta. Then we are picking up Ashley from her house and going to the Gym. Yeah for working out again! It is nice to have another workout partner. it keeps us all acountable. Ashley is trying to start back up so it nice when someone drives to your house and makes you go. I know she really appreciated it. Tomorrow Chris has bowling. I am heading to the Gym and then cooking Chinese food for myself. I have a 30% off my whole purchase from Kohl’s that starts on Thurday so one day this week, I am going to look for some new sheets and maybe new shoes. I love Kohl’s!
