Welcome, 2004
Well, for those of you who haven't heard the wonderful news:
I'm engaged.
Boy, 2003 was a confusing, traumatic, surprising, wonderful year. It was both the best and worst year of my entire life. But the sun is rising, and it brings with it a new year for us to walk into, side by side.
I never believed in soulmates before. I thought it was a lovely fancy held by the idealistic and the naive. But falling in love with davio was like... planets moving into alignment- as beautiful and powerful as the rising tide. He is my friend, my lover, my partner, my companion,... my mate. And something very quiet and powerful inside of me has been whispering "yes". And all the confusing emotions and logic and questions and fears.... they moved into the background, burning away like fog under the brilliance of this certainty- i've found the man i'm going to grow old with.
