The Texas Academy of Science recently gave the 2006 Distinguished Texas Scientist Award to a man named
Dr. Eric R. Pianka. It was awarded to him for advocating the agonizing death of over 5 billion people via the Ebola virus as a viable way to deal with the population problem. Hundreds of people gave him a standing ovation.
