I just had the most baffleing conversation with my mother.
She is down in Southern Cali taking care of her parents because her mom was in the hospital and her dad can't take care of himself. So she calls to tell me how board she is, and we talk about that for a while...
then here is the turn the conversation takes:
My Grandmother has desided she is going to die... appearntly the doctors agree... my grandfather who has never really takin care of himself and has depended completely on my grandmother for the past 60 years is unwilling to accept this because he very literally cannot live without her, my grandmother meanwile is very calmly demanding that she start hospice... My mother then tells me that oh no my father isn't down there, he's at my great uncle joe's funeral (appearently I have a great uncle Joe) but he couldn't go to southern california anyways because when my mom was getting ready to leave he couldn't get his best friend to answer the door. After two days of knocking my dad finally called an ambulence and kicked the door in, they found that his friend had fallen and unable to stand up had been laying on the floor for two days waiting to die. So Gary, my dad's best friend, is in the hospital and will hopefully recover... So my dad is up in Chico caring for his best friend while my mom is down in Santa Ana caring for her parents. And Joe is dead, appearently he wants to be buried next to his mother, but no one even knows her name or what state she is buried in.
Really fucking bizarre.
I really worry about my mom down there all by herself.
