Okay, I haven't made a proper entry in forever because of a.) exams, b.) new job right after exams, and c.) extreme laziness. BUT! I applied to grad school at the same same place I did my undergrad stuff, and also applied for a teaching fellowship at the very last minute. I got the acceptance letter from the Math Department today, and now I'm waiting for acknowledgment from the school itself, because it would suck so much to be accepted for the TF and not grad school.
Okay, for all you people following along at home, I've managed to finish college in three years, although my scholarship was for four. The grades for this semester were posted yesterday, and got straight A's this time, although I'm pretty sure my Diff Equ II professor was being nice. The Fall 2004/Spring 2005 year wasn't a very good year for me in any way except academically; I got good grades, but I gained 20 pounds and fucked up my sleep schedule.
The new job, which is really my old job, because I'm doing the same thing as I did last summer, is good for me, because I get to have eight hours of sleep a night and see my parents when I get home from work.
In fannish news, I'm all caught up with the Naruto and Bleach, both the animes and mangas, so I can finally let myself read the new releases every week. Also, I caught the first seven episodes of Kyou Kara Maou. I really like what I've seen of it so far; it's particularly nice in a meta kind of way, because of Yuri's acknowledgment of and references to fantasy anime/rpg cliches, but I like all the characters as people too. I'm very fond of the, hmm, canon shounen-ai, or allowance by the show's universe for it, I guess you'd say. I suck at describing things.
Anyway, who couldn't like a show where a guy is flushed down a toilet to a magical realm?! Sort of. hee.
