Nate Saw the Prez. Today...Well Sorta
So they sold tickets to Obama's speech at Dobson High Monday. But they announced the ticket sales on Channel 15 news which I never watch.
People camped out. 400 tickets and 3,000 people showed up.
Needless to say, we weren't one of them.
Well Nate wanted to get down there anyway on the off-chance he might come in the crowd. He got up early and got Rhiannon who I've said before has a crush on the President. Anyway, he went down there with the camera--got lots of crowd shots. Both Obama lovers and the freaks who said random stuff like "Show us your birth certificate!" Weirdos.
Anyway, he got video of the motorcade (going down Alma School how cool is that?) though the crowd sort of surged forward and he had to keep Rhiannon from getting crushed--so the video is sort of sea-sicky but you can see the two limos.
He waited for the crowd to get out of the auditorium and went where all the news cameras were poised at the entrance--thinking this was where he would come out. It wasn't! He was on the wrong side. LOL
Anyway, he left and was headed up the road and thought, well I bet we can see his plane leave sky harbor if we get up there. So he pulled to the top of one of the parking garages out there and he and Rhiannon sat on the roof of the Civic and sure enough, the plane flew right over them. Presidential seal and everything.
Nate got that on video. Air Force 1 is HUGE!
Oh and before he left he found a guy leaving the gym who captured this pic on his I-phone. Pretty cool huh? ;)
