okay, so its been maybe 3.5 weeks since i've updated. i've been working at the Tara, i pretty much enjoy it so far. i've seen parts of really good movies and caught on to procedure a little quicker than i thought i would. im pretty comfortable there by now, but still feel like the new kid. thats okay, tho, b/c i can still accidentally mess up and it wont be THAT big a deal b/c i AM still the new kid. works out. the job gets a little boring sometimes, but i've recently figured out how i can discreetly read a book when there's nothing going on and no one to talk to. i like most of the ppl i work with well enough (a couple of the managers are iffy, but i was expecting that) and the idea of having steady money is sinking in and i LIKE it. i opened a free student checking/savings account at wachovia and used an atm yesterday to take money out of my OWN account all by myself for the first time. yay! so all thats pretty cool. i hope i get sick of popcorn soon, maybe then i'll stop eating it. *shrug*
so i could have updated about the bad weather we had last week, but i didnt. we had a neighbor's tree fall across the street and land in our driveway last sunday night at 2am. it took out power lines all around and landed some of them on my mom's car. i had worked a double shift that day and knew i'd have to get up really early to go into work with my mom so i could take marta from agnes scott college to the Tara and work again on monday, so when i was woken up by the commotion at a bit after 2am i was (to say the least) kind of upset. not a happy camper. now i was going to get even less than my expected 5 hours of sleep, AND i had no idea how i was going to get to work in the morning. to make a long story short, it sucked pretty badly for awhile but everything worked out and i got to work early. i HATED that day and a half, but its over now so i wont dwell too much. weather can really suck balls.
okay, so, some good news that sasha and/or jeanne have most likely already posted about: they're renting the room in the basement of my house! woowoo! they started moving stuff in today, and it's quite EXCITING for all parties involved (minus my brother who, for the record, "doesnt care." also for the record, such an *emotional* reaction to something new happening is considered pretty positive when it comes from my brother, so that's good.) i think it will work out well for everyone, and since they'll move in before i move out again, we'll all get used to them being here before they will just be here with my mom. which, yeah, might sound kinda weird--them living here with my mom--but they'll have a nice little apartment-type thing set up down there and my mom wont bother them. it should still work out pretty well. so thats all good stuff. i cant wait until they have it all set up and it looks all cool and fun. we're gonna throw parties down there. i've always wanted to do that, throw parties in the basement. me/karrin/abby did throw a halloween party down there a few years ago, and that went well. good times.
well i guess thats it for now... *draws a blank* kay, bye!
