FC 2012
I have a room reserved for FC 2012. Weird, huh? I haven’t been to FC since 2004 or so. Money, work, health, timing and all that stuff has kept me away. Well, things are looking like I might actually be able to go this year, but it depends on a couple of good things happening.
First of all, I need to find roomies to split the cost of the room with. I have reserved a room at the Hilton San Jose, and requested a two-double-bed room. I am a fursuiter, so I have requested to be on the fursuit floor. The reservation is over the dates of 01/12/2012 - 01/16/2012. I would like to split the cost of the room, per person, per day. So you would pay an equal share of the room for the nights you stayed there.
Now the other issue I need is someone willing to assist me around the con, especially when I am in fursuit. I am disabled, and I neither see well, nor walk well, in or out of suit. For getting around the convention, I plan to rent an electric scooter, but I could still use a spotter to help me get into/out of suit, and navigate while in suit. Out of auit, I get around pretty well, but I am pretty helpless in suit.
As for my usual scheme for getting attention at cons: handing out helium balloons, well I understand the convention center does not allow helium balloons inside (something about union rules and the cost of picking them off the ceiling afterwards). So I will not be doing that. I may have some air-filled ones to play with, or have some helium balloons in the room, but you folks will have to wait until FCN or MFM to get any more helium balloons from me.
So now it’s up to my friends to see if I can go to FC this time around. I hope to be able to, as there are many people out on the west coast I haven’’t seen in years, or have only talked to online which I would really like to see.
