Last night, we (my friends Lindsey and Stephanie and I) went to see MI3. I was a little worried about the whole 'Tom Cruise is a raving lunitic' thing, but it turned out ok. There were a couple of parts I thought were funny that maybe weren't supposed to be (e.g. the way Tom Cruise runs) but I definitely enjoyed the bad guy getting hit by a truck and only seeing his shoe. Also, Jonathan Rhys Myers was in it! Which I totally didn't know and think they should have advertised. Though, he didn't speak NEARLY enough, because his voice is beautiful. Also, Laurence Fishbourne is in it. So, by the advertisements, for all I knew, it was just Tom Cruise, by himself, doing lots of action-y stuff . . . maybe if I'd had a TV
Before that, we went to Garrett's popcorn *yummy* and after we RUSHED to Argo Tea :D and I had bubble tea for the first time, though it wasn't necessarily traditional bubble tea? I don't know. Then, we had some fun cinco de mayo incidents with horns honking and generally drunk people (one of which, I was told, involved sombody asking for 'some fries with that shake' *shudder*). Then, as we were going to go down to the El, someone told us that northbound trains weren't running, so we walked to the bus (which led to the aforementioned encounters, by the way) got on with a very unhappy driver, and stood, for a while, then eventually sat, and finally arrived back at school.
It was a very odd evening, and my shins hurt, and I was tired. Very odd in general.
My mom's on her way to Chicago, but only to drive to Iowa, and I won't see her until Thursday. I've got lots of art to do, and the Daily Show is on YouTube not a good combination. Oh well.
Back to work.
