Wah. How many years have passed since I last posted here?
Life has kept me busy and I actually just couldn't think of anything to write about.
But now I just have to write this down because lately I've been feeling a littlea whole lot guilty about the fact that I've been neglecting Arashi lately. *horrified gasp*
Say it isn't so!
TT_TT
I never thought I'd be able to say (write, really) those words.
But yes. It's true.
I have not been the rabid Arashi fangirl that I normally am because......
because.....
I'vefoundanothergrouptofangirlon.
*more horrified gasping*
Yes. I'm guilty. I've started to like another idol group (not that it's a crime or anything, but I'd always believed that Arashi would be the one and only group I'd ever fangirl on.)
and they're Korean.
*SAY WHAT?!?!?!?!*
Ironic, isn't it?
This coming from the girl who said she would most likely never fawn over anything Kpop (I have nothing against kpop mind you, it's just that most of their songs do nothing for me). But yes, I have become a fan of a Kpop Idol group. And I've been so engrossed with them that I've actually neglected Arashi this past few weeks.
Just to be clear though, this doesn't mean that I'm gonna stop being an Arashian. No matter what, they're still number 1 in my heart, but I just can't help but like this other group, which I should put a name to now. XD
Ever heard of MBLAQ?
Yep. That's the group.
MBLAQ stands for Music Boys Live in Absolute Quality. They're the legendary boyband produced by the equally legendary international Kstar Rain. They've been dubbed as "chic-dols" (chic idols) by Korean netizens and have taken the Kpop world by storm with their good looks, amazing vocals and cool dancing (plus the abs XD) [a/n: this is my biased self talking :P].
There are five members:
Yang Seungho - (center) the eldest and thus, the leader of the group. In charge of vocals and making sure the other members stay in line. Also known as Yang Chopin for his jawdropping more-than-awesome piano skills and 1/2 of the 87line (the two oldest members of the group who are both born in 1987). Always teased for having a pot belly.
Based from what I've seen in their shows and performances, he's....perfect.
No, seriously.
This guy has the looks (hello kissable lips), the talent (he can sing, dance, play the piano and guitar), and the intelligence (can speak English and Japanese fluently and can fix any problem in a computer).
Oh, and he knits.
Have you ever known any other idol who knits??
Yup, didn't think so.
He's not my bias though. Edit: He's now my other bias. I know you're only supposed to have one bias but I just cannot choose! :D
G.O. - real name: Jung Byunghee (I cracked up when I found out and I don't know why XD,the one to the right of Seungho). Main vocals and in charge of silliness and torture during variety shows. Also known as Fur-dol or Fur-hyung because he of his...hairiness, for lack of better word (he has chest hair and he's the only one who's allowed to grow facial hair in the group XD). Other half of the 87line. Best feature: his poker face.
Ohmygahd. Where to start with this guy?
If I have to describe him in one word, it would be...ALIEN.
Seriously, he's like the most random person I've ever known. (Apart from Ohno of course.)
He has one of the best voices I've heard since...Ohno. In fact, their voices are actually almost tied in my ranking right now. ( I love when he sings English ballads because they're just....UNF.)
He's a DoS. He's a charmer. He always talks about women but I think he has the best manners out of all of them. He's really good with kids. He loves to torture his dongsaengs (kouhais). He's really good at variety (the poker face just gets me every time). He's witty. He's smart. He's like the mommy of the group with his constant nagging. He's always mistaken for being the eldest because of his facial hair, but his face hasn't changed since he was a teenager. He composed and produced some of MBLAQ's songs. He's a good dancer. And he's the only one who can get away with torturing Seungho.
Plus, he cooks.
:3
If it wasn't obvious enough, yes, he is my bias. XD
Lee Joon - real name: Lee Changsun. Vocals and ace of the group. In charge of muscles and general idiocy. Best known for his honey abs. He's the best dancer in the group and also the most charismatic. Generally likes to do a lot of aegyo. He looks like a player but he's really more of an innocent kid who is almost always bullied by Seungho and G.O and occasionally by the maknaes.
I think he's the cutest guy ever. I always crack up whenever he's bullied or has his clumsy moments. And when he smiles...UNF. I really like his smile XD. Even though he's supposed to be the sexy one in the group (because of his abs) I always have this image of him as an innocent kid trapped in a muscled body. haha. He's also a great dancer, his specialty being ballet. I'm not joking. He really does ballet :P
Cheondoong [Thunder]- real name: Park Sanghyun. Rapper and in charge of being the cute, innocent, ultimately lovable guy. He's the one on the far right who looks like the boy version of Sandara Park. Yep. He's her younger brother. Best known for his English skills and very unique laugh.
He's the most adorable guy ever. I always compare him to a cute, fluffy puppy. His chubby cheeks are just begging to be pinched and his occasional sadism when it comes to his hyungs is just awesome. I also love his father-son interaction with G.O.
Mir - real name: BANG CHEOLYONG. (I just had to put his name in all caps, it always ALWAYS cracks me up XD). Maknae. aka Farm-dol. In charge of rap and being excessively hyper and bouncy. He is always loud, prone to screaming nonsensical stuff at the most random moments and can't seem to stand still. But he becomes shy and sweet when he meets his ideal girls.
The one thing that always comes to mind when I see Mir is his "Engrish". It's just too hilarious for words. [Everybody rice eat. XDDDDD] He's always hyper and loud but when he performs he's actually very cool and sexy-looking. But I keep seeing him in overalls and walking with a cow. XD
So there you have it. My new group to flail over...and the first group to ever influence me into KPOP. The main reason I started fangirling over them is that they're really adorkable in their variety shows (like Arashi) and because of one of their MVs (Cry) which I found really awesome. It was that MV that made me appreciate their musical ability too. :)
Just to be clear though, I'm not leaving the Arashi fandom. Arashi will always be, forevermore, my first love (senti much?) and I will be an Arashian for life. But I have to admit, I have already become an A+ (term for MBLAQ fans) and might become even more of an A+ through time. But hey, my heart's big enough for the two of them. And you know what they say, the more the merrier! :)
